John Eichenlaub, MD

Dr Eichenlaub is truly amazing!! He was wonderful with me during my recent hysterectomy. The day of my surgery he came in and took his time talking to me, and after surgery explained everything to my family. While in the hospital his bedside manners were great! He came in everyday to see me and never was rushed. He even squeezed me in to have my staples remove on a day that wasn't his office day. A great great Dr.!!!!!

I had a couple bad experiences with Dr. Eichenlaub. So much so I made the decision to switch OB to delivery my first child. The first bad experience was pre-pregancy during a yearly exam. During the exam he told me one of my ovaries was enlargered and hardened. When I asked him what that meant he said, "I don't know," and left the room. One of the nurses came back to schedule an ultrasound with no explanation to what might be wrong. I waited 2 days after my ultrasound to call back for the results. It took 2 days and 3 calls for them to get back to me. Then the nurse gave me sort of a "oops, nothing was wrong," response. Despite this experience I returned when I was pregnant. I decided not to return when I tried to see the doctor when I wasn't feeling well and the repectionist told me the doctor was too busy to see anyone without pregancy related illnesses. I'm still confused on how being pregant and sick is not pregnancy related but I won't be returning to find out.

Dr. Eichenlaub is a truely excellent physician. His personality and bedside manner are great, but his procedural skills are unmatched. He delivered my daughter in 1999 and I had a GYN procedure in 2005. Both times when the nursing staff learned who my doctor was the uniform response was, "Oh, then you'll do just fine." and they were right. My delivery was fairly routine and went well, but the GYN procudure was amazing! It was outpatient surgery and I was ready to leave about 20 minutes after I woke up. I felt fine, had minimal pain, no bleeding, and the long term results far outdid anyone elses results who had the same procedure by different doctors. This is the best doctor of any specialty that I have ever had and I hope and pray that he never leaves town.
