Dr. John Christopher Elkas, MD

Dr. Elkas is an excellent, kind and caring Dr. He has the best bed side manners , he’s compassionate and He makes You feel He genuinely cares . I couldn’t have picked a better Dr. I really love him . His nurse Meana is very nice , she’s a sweet young lady and cares .

I’ve been going to Dr. Elgas over a year , All I can say are wonderful things about him. He is a excellent surgeon and such a kind , and caring Dr., his bed side manners are always excellent , he explains everything that is going on .The type of practice he has isn’t always easy for him , with his genuine kindness it helps so much. His nurse Mina is very caring also along with Jennifer . His front desk is very nice , I do love speaking with Angela and Mia they confront You when making an appointment.

I was very scared my first visit , Dr. Elkas bed side manners calmed my nerves and I knew no matter what the outcome was he would help me . He’s smart and genuinely cares. He didn’t rush me at all. His office staff was pleasant and I needed paper work done and Jessamine was more than helpful she was great. My overall experience was more than a 5????????.

He has excellent bedside manners , he’s kind, caring , knowledgeable , he listens and doesn’t rush You. His office staff was very nice and so was the nurse .

Dr. Elkas , is an excellent Dr. He's knowledgeable , caring and his bed side manners are the best. He made me feel relaxed which means so much. His front desk was very nice and His nurse was very kind.

Dr. Elkas is an amazing professional caring dr. His staff may not be the best, but he is worth it even though they are not

Dr. John Elkas is a talented surgeon, but has no concern for his patients. He was late coming for my surgery. He very briefly talked to me before surgery. He never even talked with my family after surgery. It is a good thing that another surgeon did my surgery with him, because that doctor/surgeon took the time to talk with my family. That meant a lot to me. The other doctor cares about his individual patients and it really shows. I never saw Dr. Elkas since the morning of my surgery. He never came to see me after the surgeries he had that day. The other doctor/surgeon did my follow up care. Dr. Elkas could learn from him how to care about each individual patient, and how to treat his patients and their families. I felt that I was just another surgery that Dr. Elkas performed and he showed that I was just another number. If he does your surgery, your family and you will probably not talk to him, or see him after surgery.

I had a total hysterectomy due to really bad Endometriosis, the pain was debilitating and effecting my every day life . Dr. Elka's was the only physician willing to perform my hysterectomy due to the fact I didn't any children yet and I was only 31 at the time. He was very compassionate and truly cared about what was important to me and that was for me to have a better quality of life. I highly recommend him.

I agree with the last comment. It fascinates me that such a brilliant surgeon - who saved my life - will put up with such an uncommunicative front office staff. When I was in his care, it was like pulling teeth to get information from his office, make an urgent appointment or ask to speak with Dr. Elkas.

After initially making the appointment for my mother for which they had a six week wait time, they called me to change it a week later than originally scheduled. That was fine except the day of the appt I drove all the way from my home in WV, picked my mother up in Centreville to make a 9:30 am appt. When we arrived we were told that Dr. Elkas was out all week and that someone should have called but they DIDNT. The wait time trying to set up the appt to begin with was almost 20 minutes before I actually spoke to someone to schedule! Needless to say I will find another doctor for my 82 yr old mother!!!!
