Dr. John Allan Ellerton, MD

Saw this doctor because my iron levels were high and I have hemochromatosis so I wanted to get a therapeutic phlebotomy before my Ferritin levels were also high (meaning iron is stored in the organs- very bad). He rolled his eyes at me and argued with me the entire appointment saying it wasn't necessary. I explained that I am looking for a doctor who tries to help me PREVENT issues before the become medical PROBLEMS but he didn't really seem to care. Very rude- no empathy and the personification with what is wrong with the healthcare system. His nurse (Kira I think) was super sweet and understood what I was trying to accomplish and, more importantly, why. I do not recommend this doctor if you're looking for a true partner in the care of your well being.

Have been a patient of Dr. Ellerton for a little more than a year. I I don't know what I would do without him. Moved to another state but return for my appointments. He makes me feel like I know I will be ok. He understands my cancer and spends time with me explaining it and my treatment. Would recommend him to anyone.

Rare today to find a truly compassionate Doctor. He makes you laugh when your sad and makes you feel so important. I recommend him with the highest regard.

Terrible physician very uneducated in areas of practice

I have been a patient of Dr. Ellerton for the past 15 years. A very compassionate physician, a non-alarmist, understands the cancer "enemy" and strives to give patients the best quality of life based on their lifestyle wishes. Not afraid to launch into the cancer battle, but is very cautious to over treat. I am a worrier...he worries for me, so I can worry about living and not be consumed by the thoughts and fears of death. I cannot imagine managing my disease without him; my coach, my cheerleader...my physician.

From researching this doctor certainly takes the time to fulfill many roles (as in fox watching the henhouse)There is a place for people like Ellerton & it is not in the field of medicine. Here is an individual who makes himself scarce, indicative of people who don't care or hide behind their ineptness.Unless John Ellerton is as special as he wants all to believe -he will require care one day. Good luck-your peers (and minions) know you. Have faith that you'll be able to count on the quality time you have dispensed, John Ellerton Most Deficient.
