Dr. Erffmeyer earned his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his internship and residency at Ochsner. He completed his allergy and immunology fellowship at at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. Dr. Erffmeyer is board certified in internal medicine and allergy and immunology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1987.

I have a long list of problems and was referred to Dr Erffmeyer to brainstorm. Today was my first visit, but I'm impressed. Before I finished checking n at the reception his nurse was calling me back. When I walked in the room Dr Erffmeyer had just walked in and was waiting for me. (Zero minutes wait time) He was extremely thorough in his questions and explaining allergies and their effects to me. Allergy sensitivity tests were performed and while waiting for reaction we continued to discuss my issues. He has several recommendations going forward and I'm quite happy. I wish there were more doctors willing to devote their attention in the way he does - at least I seriously doubt I'll need to look for another Allergist! Would recommend him, unless adding you as a patient impacts his service level to existing patients ;).
