Dr. John Guangshun Fan, MD

This individual is many things. Doctor, medical professional, caregiver, responsible, trustworthy person, he is not!! It is horrible “doctors” like this person that cause distrust in the medical field. I wouldn’t trust him to treat my dog. Horrible excuse of a human being.

I Love Dr Fan as my Pain Management Dr. He has took great care of me and is truly concerned about his patients..I don't trust no one else to do my nerve blocks etc..he sees my daughter as well ...I would recommend him to anyone needing back help etc..Thank You Dr Fan

After reading other's reviews, I was skeptical. But he is the only doctor i've seen in Kansas since I moved here who actually looked for the problem. He is very friendly and understanding

At first I didn't like his style of treatment but he helped me get off of opiates. I thought I was going to die but it was all worth it!

I suffer from scoliosis and ddd and was given hydroco/apap 10-325 & was told to take 1 to 2 every 4 to 6 or as needed for my debilitating pain. This was after I was taken off fetynal patches because of skin rashes. Because I insist on working and not going on disability, I took about 6 of these a day and was still in terrific pain. I received a call today informing me that he no longer wants me as a patient & was told by the nurse that although my urinalysis was fine, I took 6 pills when he really wanted me to take only 3. I explained that 3 wasn't enough for my pain & didn't know what else to do. I was told that I should have taken 3 and that he was done with me. I have been crying all day because the pain makes it so that I am bedridden and now I will lose my job and will not be able to finish getting my degree in accounting. I cannot live like this, & I know that they don't care. It fine, though. I have made plans, talked to my fam and friends and although they are upset that… this happened, everyone understands my decision. If you are going to him, I really hope it works out better for you than it did for me. Goodbye

I have been a patient of Dr. Fan for a number of years. At first he was very nice and took time to explain things and answer questions. I think he has way too many patients and the last time I saw him, to have my pain pump filled with Dilaudid, he spent more time with the student nurses than he did me, wouldn't stick around for me to ask him some questions. Now, I am in a real fix. I am trying to lower the Dosage of Dilaudid in my pump. I want Lidocaine Pain Patches 5% to help with chronic pain in my back. My insurance, as of January 1, 2018, will pay for the patches, if Dr. Fan will write a letter to the insurance company telling them why he prescribed the patches and why I need them. I sent him an email asking him to do so. His nurse, very unfriendly, called me and told me he would not write a letter to the insurance company for the prescription he prescribed me. He is the only pain doctor in my town. To change I would need transportation to get to Wichita and to another… pain specialist. Right now I am horrified. He is the third doctor with Hutch Clinic I have had problems with. The doctors have way too many patients and don't have time to be nice to their patients. Dr. Siler was the same way and Dr. Marshall fouled up on a cyst surgery he did on me. I ended up having a surgeon remove the cyst and spending several weeks in a nursing home. Dr. Siler terminated me as a patient as he kept telling me there was nothing wrong with me. I have arthritis, fibromyalgia, PTSD and deal with constant chronic pain. With a new doctor, I found out I was low on Vitamin D and had some allergy problems. These were found with tests run by my new doctor. In the process, before he fired me, he was a bully, has a temper and upset me terribly. I tried to get help with the Human Resource Dept. and that was a joke. They had no intention of helping me with the abuse I received from him.

Actually listens to me. Have finally been able to do things I haven't done for years.

Horrible doctor who just wants to get you hooked on meds, no rreal answers. I have annular tears, herniated discs and degenerative disc disease and for years he never sent me to a surgeon. He is unprofessional and shouldn't be practiving medicine. Also when looking at my records there were false statments in the ttranscripts, things that were never said. Is he so busy he can't even dictated correctly for his patients? DO NOT GO TO HIM, HE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE AND LEAVE YOU BEHIND

have had 4 previous back surgeries he ordered a mri then didn't realize I had previous surgeries and asked me who ordered the mri. if he didn't know I had back surgeries why was he prescribing me pain meds. in my opinion he shouldn't be in the medical profession at all. have many other complaints to many to list

Talked about having too many patients and I might need to starting to look for a new pain management doctor, then all of a sudden I supposedly walked out without taking a UA, I have never had a positive UA BETWEEN MY REGULAR DR., ALL THE RANDOM UA'S AT WORK OR THE ONES I TOOK FOR DR. FAN (WHICH SPANS WELL OVER 15 YEARS), BUT SINCE I TOLD HIM I COULD NOT DRIVE TO WICHITA OR KANSAS CITY, ALL OF A SUDDEN I WAS ACCUSED OF WALKING OUT WITHOUT TAKING A UA, HIS MALE NURSE (RYAN) IS A LIAR, THEY SAID I SIGNED A UA ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM AND HE WITNESSED IT, SO I HAD THEM SEND ME A COPY OF THE FORM, AND I HAD NEVER SEEN THAT FORM BEFORE, I HAD A PERSON WITH ME THAT WILL SWEAR IN A COURT OF LAW THAT THE FORM IS BOGUS! So watch out RYAN BRANTLEY, BRADLEY OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT IS HIS NEW MALE NURSE AND THEY WILL LIE CHEAT STEAL WHATEVER AS LONG AS IT'S IN THEIR FAVOR, MAYBE HE IS A TERRORIST! I HAVE NEVER FAILED A UA OR ANY DRUG SCREEN IN MY LIFE!
