Dr. John David Fenley, MD

After 8 straight years of seeing Dr. JD Fenley for severe anxiety, gad and panic attacks, I canceled 2 appointments with less than a 24 hour notice and got kicked straight out of his practice, no warning or nothing. Just a nasty letter by mail. The letter also stated they would provide me with a 3 month supply of my medicines until I found a new Doctor and that was a LIE. I have called twice for refills and absolutely nothing has been called in. This doctor also speaks over you, takes cash only (for some reason) and pushes addictive meds if you know what I am talking about and drops you without warning. I would have NEVER, AND I MEAN EVER CHOSE HIM AS MY DOCTOR FOR MY PROBLEMS IF I KNEW HE WAS LIKE THAT. Clearly he does not have ANY EMPATHY OR LIABILITY FOR HIS PATIENTS!!!!!!

No Nonsense Doctor who is professional and knowledgeable with latest treatment. Very approachable and easy to talk to. Being treated for PTSD, Anxiety, Bi-Polar and other conditions,

The support staff that John Fenley has hired are horrible. The secretary and office manager are so very rude. They have the syndrome called "we think we are the doctor" they seem to think they run the show. And John Fenley leaves a lot to be desired. He spends very little times with his patients. I was not impressed with these people at all.

I was treated terribly by the receptionist and was unable to get an appointment, which is probably the best thing! I was told I would not be seen unless I stopped the medication currently prescribed by my doctor for one of my conditions for at least 3 months. I was told taking it was the equivalent of being handed a loaded gun by my doctor due to having a prior dependency issue on a different, unrelated medication (also prescribed by my doctor)! It seems terribly dangerous and irresponsible to suggest stopping a medication without supervision or treatment. The receptionist treated me like an addict and interrupted when I tried to explain that my reason for seeking help was to be correctly diagnosed and find an alternative to the prescription I'm currently on. She berated me for several issues related to my doctor's care and pharmacy's policies (not correctly reporting controlled substances) as if I had something wrong. This call left me in a terrible state of mental distress, the… exact opposite of what one would expect when contacting a psychiatrist'so office!

I have been a patient for over 20 yrs. He found the correct meds & dosage for me, I got my life back! By nature of the disease-I've had ups and downs over the years. He has never given up on me. He listens to me and allows me to help in decisions regarding my treatment. Did NOT have that experience with my first psychiatrist. He is down to earth, not sitting behind a 10 ft wide desk between us, makes me feel very comfortable. I have referred many friends to him and will continue to do so, if the need arises.

I didn't get an appointment with this doctor. A family member was told by the PCP that he needed an appointment right away. I was told that it would be 5-6 weeks, with no emergency work-ins. The first thing the office assistant said was, "we have never accepted "....." insurance.
