Dr. John Russell Fleming JR., MD

When I first became a patient, things were fine, even if the wait time in the office was always well over an hour. However, when I needed him to interpret bloodwork last year when I was feeling unwell, I messaged through the patient portal and called the office, but no one ever responded. The portal continued to indicate that the doctor had never even read my results - after weeks and weeks! I chose to change to a different primary care physician who has been amazing. I like Dr. Fleming fine as a person, but would never recommend him as a doctor.

Most caring Doctor I have ever had. Being military, I’ve had many. He never stops working for his patients. His nurse Caroline is the same way. I’ve never been let down by the whole team there. They have worked hard to help me.

Sumter is very fortunate to have Dr. Fleming, his partner MD's and staff. His nurse, Caroline, is AWESOME! I love her! Dr. Fleming really takes his time and evaluates & examines each of his patients. The wait time in his office is usually ridiculous / "crazy long", but knowing that he spends so much time with his patients makes it worth the wait. He truly cares about you. He treats the patient, not the illness, as so many doc's do...Dr. Fleming & Staff are AWESOME and huge assets to the community.
