Dr. John Aaron Fogelman, MD

I trained with John Fogelman during my graduate program in clinical psychology at St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. He is a learned, compassionate and innovative teacher. During that time I had many opportunities to witness and hear about his clinical work. The many things I learned from him have stayed with me and enriched my life and my career. Anne Brodzinsky Ph.D

this guy is the most arrogant Dr I ever met. He is sarcastic, cynical and seems to care little for his patients.

Arrogant and misguided. This Doctor shouldn't be in practice or should retire. A misanthrope! Never saw him smile even in community. I had taken my pre schooler to him once and the doctor said that he was concerned about the theme of my child's play with the toy fire truck when he was observing my child in his office. My child was pretending that there was a fire, saying get everybody out , and responding to it with fire truck-- sound effects and all. The doctor was ready to give a terrible label to child based on his observations that one visit. I then told the doctor that my child went on a class trip to local fire department that day where they spoke about fires, what to do in case of fire, fire response protocol and I told him that the children went on fire trucks. The doctor never blinked, apologized or said that he stood corrected for "being concerned" based on what I told him. His poor ego must have been crushed. I fear that other parents fell victim to his… questionable medical acuity and that their children might have been wrongly medicated and stigmatized by a label given by dr fogelman to their child. My advice to anyone seeking treatment with dr fogelman is don't be impressed by his self importance and cocky demeanor. This has no bearing on his level of medical competence and judgment.
