Dr. John Francis Folan, MD

Dr. Folan is one of the best doctors I have ever met.

PLEASANT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, EXCELLENT STAFF

Dr. Folan has great people skils is a god listener empathetic,compasionate and insightful. Fortunately I have not had any major medical issues but the fact that he helps to create a comfortable atmosphere for me by listening,asking pertinent questions and getting to know me, is a comort to me. This is a comfort to me now but would be of even greater importance should I have a more serious medical condition in the future. His sense of humor is a huge plus as well! Who wants a boring, self important egomaniacal doctor who does little to create a comfortable atmosphere conducive to understanding and healing? There are enough of those types in the world! Dr. Folan is a gem.

Dr. Folan has been my primary care physician for many years, having encountered numerous medical issues and multiple surgeries during the last three. His spot-on diagnoses, superlative follow-up treatment, and caring sensitivity has helped restore a quality of life I thought I'd never have again. I am 62 yrs old. Although a good book helps log ample waiting room time, Dr Folan is very, very generous with whatever time I've ever needed.

Quite fortunately for me, I have been a patient of Dr. Folan's for well over 15 years, and have ALWAYS found him to be a most compassionate, kind and professional physician. He has always taken his time with me, as I'm sure he does with others, whereby there may be a slight wait - but in my opinion - he IS worth the wait. I would never consider seeing another internist and plan to be one of his geriatric patients one day!

unprofessional, rude, arrogant and uncaring, not to mention lack of ability

I found that he does not spend time with me. My first visit he asked questions, by the 2nd visit no more than 5 min. and called away after waiting over 45 mins to be seen. (I was on time for my appt.) My 3rd visit he spent tops 2 minutes before he was called away by his assistant. (Yes, I timed him) I sat in the room an additional 10 mins. When he came back in he gave me some samples and told me he will see me in a week???? My sister-in-law referred me to him as a good, caring doctor - I have not seen it yet? There are so many better doctors out there I will be removing myself as his patient and find one that is caring and at least spend more than 2 minutes with you.
