Dr. John Joseph Forney, MD

Our family was extremely disappointed with the poor medical care provided to our 92-year-old mother by Dr. Forney and his mobile medical team, which failed to respond in a timely manner to my repeated phone calls for their assistance related to her deteriorating condition from a UTI beginning on 29 Aug, and then on 31 Aug, and 1 Sep. She finally aspirated and we rushed her by ambulance to the hospital on 2 Sep and she died there on 5 Sep after we made the difficult decision without the benefit of input from her primary care physician to place her in hospice care. When I called Dr. Forney after my mother's passing and asked him to explain why he had not called me back on two occasions, he said he could offer 'no excuses,' except that he was overseeing the care of over 700 patients in three counties. I responded that that number of patients was clearly more than he and his team could handle and that he did all his patients a gross disservice by spreading himself that thin.
