Dr. John Bennett Forrest, MD

I need Dr Forrest! It has been years since he retired but I still sometimes search online to see if he is practicing again and I can go back to him. No one else understands or cares about IC. He gave me so much hope. If he decides to see patients again I will switch back to him immediately. It is like starting over and no one understands. My doctor now is nice but offers no information or hope or treatments. When I go in they just look at me when they realize I have IC with a look like there is nothing they can do for me. They can’t get me out of there fast enough. Even if there wasn’t a lot he could do he at least offered hope for the future. I will always wish he was still my doctor and I will always look to see if he is accepting patients somewhere.

Dr. Forrest was the angel God sent from heaven to save me. I had suffered fro IC for over 20 years until finally God lead me to find Dr. Forrest. Dr. Forrest diagnosed me with IC and helped me control the monstorous pain that had me wish for death every day in my life. Dr Forrest saved me from the bottomless pit of pain He retired about seven years ago. Now, I am at the mercy of doctors which have no idea what IC is. Before Dr Forrest, I had seen an endless number of specialists who ranged from telling me it was all in my head to the ones who told me there was nothing for me and left me to suffer. I pray I will find another Dr. Forrest. God has built a beautiful place for Dr. Forrest in Heave because he is an angel on earth.

I miss Dr Forrest! He retired and no other dr in Tulsa seems to know anything about IC. It's like going back in time and starting over trying to talk to Doctors who don't understand or care.

Dr Forrest was the only physician with extensive training in IC. I was in so much pain when I started with him and now he has relieved the awful pain I was experiencing. Always made room to see me during severe infections or help with tens unit. We really miss him! You might have to wait do to extensive time he gave each patient. But so worth the wait!

Excellent Doctor who really cares about his patients. Explains things very well, keeps a positive outlook. Very efficient and knowledgeable. A very good experience having him as a Doctor.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to this doctor. I agree with the people who said they make you feel like cattle and that he's only in it for the money! It was the worst experience of my life!

I have had several infection he has done everything possible to help me from Uterial stents. biopsy , I know the wait time is sometime long but he try to work you in when you need to see him. I will not go to another Urologist.

When my son needed surgery I worked as a nurse at st john and knew of Dr Forrest and knew that he had an excellent reputation. I have taken care of his patients on the floor. So when my son needed surgery Dr Forrest did an excellent job and I was so grateful. Recently my mother has been having some problems and again Dr Forrest was the urologist I insisted on seeing. I am sorry that some others have had a bad experience, the waiting can be long sometimes but I have nothing but good to say about this doctor.

It has been over 20 years since I've seen Dr. Forrest but while I was his patient, he always had one foot in the door & one foot out. His bedside manner needs a LOT of work! He operated on me when he should not have and I have had multiple ongoing problems since! As long as no problems arise, everything is fine. But once a problem occurs, he runs the other way. I agree with the other patient's response, "he's in it for the money & doesn't care about his patients".

The worst doctor I've ever experienced. Runs you through like cattle, collects all he can from YOU and your insurance and doesn't care as he watches your cancer worsen. Only in it for the money! I know of several other patients of his that would NEVER go back to him! So I know I'm not the only one! Hopefully those of you that love him have nothing bad wrong with you!
