Dr. John W. Gibbs, DO

Dr. Gibbs is top of the line. I had rotator cuff surgery on my dominent arm and everyone tried to scare me to death about it. Dr. Gibb and his fantastic staff calmed me, explained everything, were so friendly and supportive-from the office to the surgery center that I wasn't worried at all. My surgery went very well, and to my surprise, Dr. Gibbs called me the night of surgery to see how I was doing. He said he learns a lot about how to help his patients by doing so. Amazingly I had NO PAIN post surgery but I appreciated that he waits 6 weeks before sending you off to PT to start moving it around!!! To me I would not go to anyone else!!

I recommend Dr. Gibbs whenever I hear someone needs an orthopedic surgeon. I've had two surgeries, with Dr. Gibbs, with the most recent on 2-22-23. In both instances, I received amazing results and incredible support care from Dr. Gibbs, the anesthesiologist, Dr. Gibbs PA, the surgical nurses, and the office nurses post care. If you need an orthopedic surgeon this is the doctor you need to see. Thank you!

Had the knee surgery last year. Wish I could say I am 100% As far as office visits or trying to get through Don’t bother you will just get frustrated -no one is on the same page -when I had a problem after the surgery afterwards no one got back to me I kept on calling. No response last visit it was a 2 hour wait . The man next to us said he was just about to leave until they called him so it wasn’t just me.

The surgery I had was ok but the service after the surgery had been pretty terrible. My appointment for my SLU loss was done and was told it would be a week it has been 5 weeks and still no result. The office staff just gives excuses as to why the information hasn’t been sent. Now they are reluctant to give me the information directly but as I know it’s my HIPPA rights to get my medical report. So needless to say I won’t be back to this office for any medical issue.

I have had many surgeries performed by many doctors, in several states, both military and civilian. Dr. Gibbs is by far the most competent, honest, and skilled surgeon I have ever met. I required rotator cuff, labrum, and bicep repair. The procedure was nothing, I immediately felt structurally sound, and I only needed a few weeks of my own PT. I can't say enough good things about this doctor and his practice. He's also a bills fan win-win.

Dr. Gibbs did my L knee ACL reconstruction & meniscus cleanup back in Jan 2014. Highly recommend - he's great. After about 8 or 9 months I was back playing sports and today I can't tell any difference between the repaired knee and my right knee.

Dr. Gibbs himself was friendly, patient and competent. The support around him is a completely different story. The receptionists and phone staff are rude, condescending and act as if you are an interruption to them. Not the reason they have a job in the first place. The phone system is horrible. I had an 8:45 appt that I couldn't make due to illness and tried to call to let them know. Dr. Gibb's number simply said subscriber not available. There are several numbers online that gave blub that the office opened at 9 but no availability to leave a message. I called after 9 and got the office is closed message until 9:06. This was similar to the first visit to the office. My appointment was at 1pm. The sign said they were at lunch. There were 4 of us waiting for several minutes past 1. They then sauntered out to the desk and looked surprised and annoyed that we were all there. Really? Surprised the patients were there for their appointments at 1? I am seriously reconsidering if I want to… stay with this group for surgery. My opinion is if one has a service job, be prepared to offer friendly and helpful service. I have never encountered such bad patient relations in a doctor's office as this group has.

I have had 3 surgeries with Dr. Gibbs. I would absolutely recommend him.
