Dr. John Herbert Giroux, MD

Dr. John was my daughter’s pediatrician from birth until her teens. She’s now 26 years old. He was always there for us through difficult medical problems. No matter what time day or night when we had an emergency, he would meet us at the hospital ER! His former patients from Homer Glen miss him! He’s the best pediatrician ever!

Dr. Giroux is my absolute favorite dr., I have three boys, ages from 8, 3,& 1, and he is wonderful with all three. My middle "angel" is very difficult when he has to see the doctor. Dr. Giroux has always been super patient with him and can get him to relax with more than any other dr. Has ever been able to do. I would give him ********** 10 Stars if I could!!

Dr. Giroux was my daughter's pediatrician for many, many years. As a parent, I always felt confident in taking my daughter to see him as I knew that he would diagnose her symptoms correctly and that she would be on the mend in no time. His soft spoken bedside manner was extremely calming and basically wiped out any anxiety or fear I had as a parent with a sick child. My daughter is now 24 yrs old and will still comment on how she was never afraid to see "Dr. John" when she was little. When you take into consideration, ease of appointments, excellent care, correct diagnosis and a child's confidence in their physician, then I'd say Dr. John Giroux has "knocked it out of the park!"

This doctor being named as one of the Top Doctors by Castle Connoly is a joke! This guy only looks good on paper, but is really a mediocre physician.

This doctor told me to use suppositories everyday on my 2 month old baby.

Dr. Giroux was my son and daughter's doctor since they were born. My children and I loved him. He always knew just what was wrong with them. My daughter went to him when she was 22 because she didn't trust anyone else. I don't know why he left but I do know we will miss him.

Dr. Giroux is very concerned about my childrens health. He takes time and explains. I would not bring my children to anyone else

This so called Doctor is a joke, Hard to make appointments. Leaves other Dr to handle his clients when his is unavailable and the other dr does not accept the same insurance. Nevers seems sure of what he tells you not to concerned. I WOULD NOT TAKE MY DOG HERRE !

This man will say things in front of your kids after asking him nicely that you feel that it is not a good idea to do so. My child now thinks he has mental problems due to this doctor telling him so. I will never trust this doctor again.

I have been taking my kids to Dr. Giroux for 4 years. He is very caring and takes the time to listen. Dr Giroux does not prescribe antibiotics for everything that comes along. He gets the kids in when they are sick. My son had a life threatening illness, and Dr. Giroux found a great out of network doctor that the insurance would cover to treat him. KUDOS Dr. Giroux!
