Dr. John Wayne Gorechlad, MD

Was fighting diverticulitis for over three months. In and out of the hospital 4 times. Finally had to have a colonoscopy so I could schedule surgery. Was doing the prep the night before colonoscopy and it failed. I was vomiting so bad my husband called 911. Was taken to different hospital then I was in before. This all on my birthday at 1:30am. In the morning Dr Gorechlad introduced himself to me. He was informative and told me what I needed to finally get better. My Gastro Doctor agreed. I had the operation( my first ever) the next morning. I was left with a colostomy. But Dr. Gorechlad kept reassuring me that he would reverse it when I was better. He was always compassionate and informative with me every time he saw me. Well 20 days ago Dr Gorechlad reversed my colostomy. I am still sore but healing. As of right now it looks like a success. I can not thank him enough for his caring and getting me through this whole process to a healthier life. Dr Gorechlad is extremely… intelligent, informative and most of all compassionate to his patients.

My father was treated by the doctor for hernia related problems. Anytime I called to ask questions he returned my calls promptly and answered all my questions. He was very caring toward my father and even called him after the hospital stay to check on him. He was wonderful!!

Dr. Gorechlad saved our son after severe abdominal trauma put him in a coma with internal bleeding among other stomach problems. He was professional, efficient, compassionate (not easy as a trauma Doctor) and cutting edge. I think of him every day and its been over a year. We even named a family pet after him. Highly recommended!
