Dr. John F Gray, MD

This guy is a monster....RUN as fast as you can....Due to his ego, he literally blackballed me from his firm and the only other option (Digestive Consultants) in Reno. He was working in ER the weekend I was submitted. Due to his explanation and plan of the life-threatening procedure that he was going to do to me, I decided to sign papers and leave the hospital. When this happens(it is called an AMA..against medical advice), the insurance company won't pay. My guess is, his firm was getting a bunch of money from my best-ever insurance plan. I was a new patient at his firm but not HIS patient. Once I left the hospital and refused his advice, in a matter of days I received a handwritten letter from him stating that I was no longer welcome at their firm. I later ended up at another hospital that refers G.I. to the only other G.I. firm in Reno. They found things that they could have helped me with, however, once I got out of the hospital and tried to become a patient of theirs, I was… refused service with NO explanation. He should have his license revoked as this is not only unprofessional, but ruthless and shows he is only interested in the amount of $$$ he can make off of you. BEWARE!!!

Arrived to my appointment on time, however, due to me not being their at check in time Dr. Gray left. I explained to the staff that I was in an unexpected meeting for work and couldn't get there any sooner. She stated the Doctor Gray is very particular...needless to say I won't be back!

Dr. Gray has bedside manner that is largely lacking in the larger physician population. I am so grateful to have seen him because he genuinely cares about your health.

Takes the time needed to solve the problem, never feel rushed, good bed side manner. Office is very congenial. Good follow up after procedures.

Seems to have a bit of disorganization in the staff department but he's a great doctor.
