JOHN GRIZZLE HAS BEEN TREATING MY HUSBAND AND I FOR ABOUT 12 YEARS. HE IS ONE OF THE MOST GENUINELY KIND DOCTORS THAT WE HAVE EVER HAD. HE IS VERY RESPECTFUL AND CONCERNED ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. HE LISTENS TO US! DR. GRIZZLE HAS AMAZING KNOWLEGE AND SKILL AND IS VERY PATIENT WITH HIS PATIENTS! HE IS A WONDERFUL TOOL USED BY GOD TO TREAT AND HEAL. WE ARE SO PRIVELIGED TO BE HIS PATIENTS!

My husband has been going to Dr. Grizzle for at least 10 years. When Dr. Grizzle moved my husband moved with him.

While he seems to have a number of poor reviews, I have found Dr. Grizzle to be an extremely caring and reasonable doctor. He is (unfortunately for the numerous people with opioid dependence in this state) one of the only buprenorphine providers who takes health insurance in Oklahoma, although he considers himself mostly a primary care physician (not specifically a Suboxone doctor). I go to him on a monthly basis for Suboxone due to the fact that he accepts my health insurance, which makes treatment much cheaper than having to pay out of pocket for each visit. During my first visit with him, he heavily pushed his extremely devout Christian religious beliefs on me (in contrast I am a secular humanist and an atheist) and we spent nearly 50 minutes debating about the need for faith in the Christian monotheistic conception of God, which I was not particularly happy about for obvious reasons. During this first visit, I intuited that (due perhaps to extreme indoctrination in the Christian… faith from a young age) to him it was absolutely inconceivable that a person could NOT need religious faith in order to live a happy and well-adjusted life. Despite our differences of opinion, he was at least very respectful of my lack of faith. During the next visit, I said the following to the nurse, "last visit we got into a religious argument and I would rather not do that again, can you please tell him that I would rather just not discuss it at all?" Dr. Grizzle did end up respecting this request and from then on, we have had a rather friendly patient-doctor relationship. He really does care about the well-being of his patients, unlike some Suboxone doctors who perhaps intentionally make their patients become even more dependent on opioids (by constantly raising the dosage). He has allowed me (a patient with co-existing mental health disorders) to be prescribed necessary controlled substances like Adderall, although he will not prescribe them himself and thus I go to another doctor for these issues (and they both know about each other). By allowing me to remain on my ADHD meds, he has allowed me to live in a normal and functioning manner. Furthermore, he really does listen to your questions and concerns and gives good advice about health. Overall, I have received excellent and humane care from Dr. Grizzle and I recommend him as a Suboxone doctor. If you are not religious, just say that you would rather agree to disagree and he will obey this request to not discuss religion. Unlike many hypocritical (e.g., avaricious, uncaring, materialistic, self-centered, etc.) Christians, Dr. Grizzle seems to be a man who truly lives his values and cares deeply about his patients, as evidenced by what he has told me about why he became a doctor and why he decided to be licensed to prescribe Buprenorphine for maintenance therapy (even thought he is a primary care physician and not a psychiatrist or addiction specialist). He clearly entered the profession of medicine to help others rather than just to make money and as a doctor, he shows a high standard of medical ethics.

After reading these other reviews, I am appalled at the negative reviews given to Dr John Grizzle and his staff! He is the BEST and most kind hearted doctor I have ever seen. My entire family sees him and as long as he is in practice I will continue. His staff, especially his nurse are extremely generous and helpful!! I LOVE THE MERCY NW EXPRESSWAY CLINIC!!

His nurse is extremely hateful. The wait times are horrible. After 3 visits within a few weeks about the same problem that felt like an infection, he literally shrugged his shoulders at me and said, "I don't know what to tell ya". I never did get this resolved from him. I have gone there many, many times, but never with satisfaction. Thank goodness we moved!

Dr grizzle is a terrible doctor don't waste your time or money on this doctor. His staff is pretty terrible as well.

would not refill a one pill script. attitude was the most arrogant i have ever seen. i ended up getting the one pill, from a clinic for the poor, homeless. He was so angry, that he had me barred from getting treatment from mercy. They will not make me an appointment there and will refuse my ambulance. shows no mercy.
