never would i reccomend this doctor for anyone..

Worse doctor ever! Not only is he rude and uncooth but he does not care about his patients at all! I actually knew someone who worked for him and he treats his employees terribly too! Ugh DO NOT GO HERE!

What the heck is this doctor's problem?He has very, very poor bedside manner. He's rude and curt. My son had a rash under his arm, and we told him what we had been using to try to alleviate the itch. The doc looked as me and rolled his eyes. "No," he says. "Use this." Writes a prescription and hands it to us.On our follow-up visit, the Blue Angels were practicing for the Sea Fair weekend. Our appointment was on Thursday. Traffic was a bit backed up, and I had all our kids in the van. I exited the freeway, several blocks from the office and called to say that I'd be late by 5 minutes. It was two minutes after the appointed time.The secretary told us that the doctor was on his way out the door and couldn't wait.Appointment are 15 minutes long. As a follow up to a condition that was already ameliorated , the doctor only had to look at it. It wasn't like it was going to be a long, drawn out appointment with testing and consultation. This guy has no flexibility. No bedside manner. He's… rude, unhelpful, impatient. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. The fact that I took the time here to help others avoid this guy is saying something in and of itself. I never do this. But this guy just doesn't deserve any grace or help or recommendations. There are plenty of other dermatologists out there to choose from. Obviously, this guy doesn't need any more business, so I would avoid using him.And for other doctor's who recommend this guy, I'd say that you should find someone else to point your patients to.

Retirement should be a consideration for you. You certainly aren't interested in what you are doing.

My husband had a spot on his back removed and tested for skin cancer. Hackett's nurse left us a message on a Friday night telling us it was non-benign. Monday morning we called and asked for an appointment to discuss the results asap. When we finally got in, he asked how we were doing. I told him that I was stressed about the message indicating that my husband has skin cancer. Doc looks at husband with a sarcastic looking smirk and says, "Is she always like this?" Then he goes on to say, "I dont know where you got the idea he has skin cancer, because he doesnt" I repeat the message about non-benign, and he laughs again and tells us that means it is in the "grey" area, and that he wasnt worried about it. Non-benign doesnt mean benign apparently, and he thought we would know this? Wanting a second opinion, we went to another doc about 6 months later, and sure enough, the spot WAS a carcinoma. Husband had a much larger area removed than he would had to have had removed had Hackett known… what he was talking about. I sometimes wonder what would have happened to my husband if we hadnt gotten a second opinion. Very Very frightening.
