Dr. John Haretos, MD

Dr. Haretos has been my doctor for 8 years and has always been kind, compassionate, and always ready to listen. He is certainly the best doctor that I have ever had!

I have been battling diabetes and diverticulitis after my most recent hospitalization Dr. Haretos saw me in his office and he had prepared an outline of all my blood sugar tests from when i first came to him to demonstrate to me how i can keep my sugars down and how important it is and how it affects every aspect of my health. I was quite impressed.

I have been seeing Dr. Haretos for over 15 years now and have not had any serious medical conditions to cause me to frequent his office. However, what I have observed is that he is a rare example of a dying breed of dr.'s that are actually AVAILABLE and ACCESSIBLE to their patients when the patients need them and not when the office secretary can schedule an appointment. He actually returns calls HIMSELF while his office staff is very accomodating and helpful to his patients rather than act as a shield for the dr. Dr. Haretos is a "rare find" and I hope -for his patients' sake- he continues practicing for a while because there are not many (any) dr.'s like him left...

He began taking care of my now 95 year old uncle 3 years ago when he was on death's door step and has been fantastic since. He communicates with me about my uncle's condition, checks on my uncle frequently by phone and is genuinely concerned about his well being.

Not up to date on current practices, When asked about help with weight control, he told me to eat more lettuce!
