I have been receiving PRP injections for several months now with positive results. I have been pleased with improvements in my joint and to have a resource within driving distance of my home in Central Maine. I appreciate the prompt appointments, getting questions answered by email in terms of follow-up and the careful attention during the visits to the office. I surely recommend this practice and provider.

I went to dr herzog twice...he told me I had a different issue each time and his treatment didnt work at all. After the second time with no relief I called him to discuss next steps and he told me I should probably find someone else to help me with my foot issue. Complete waste of time and a ridiculous charge for these useless procedures.

Dr. Herzog misdiagnosed me and seeing him was a BIG WASTE of time, after seeing him three different times, he kept trying to inject me with meds that did not work. HE WAS WAY OFF BASE. I was very unhappy with his results.

Dr Herzog used PRP to heal my fissured chronically painful Achilles tendon. Excellent physician!

I have a lot of respect for this Doctor after just a few visits. I trust his medical opinions and his honest advice. He has shown not only that he can address the issues of pain at hand but also covers post procedure activities and healthy eating habits to make sure I am not back in to see him again which I appreciate immensely! If you would like a doctor that can make your pain go away and stay away, Dr. John Herzog is the man to see!

when i first met dr. herzog back in 1990, i found him to be a very caring dr. and gentleman. he operated on my right knee x 4 for torn meniscus. i had been working in a local shipyard and with all the climbing and crawling through various parts of a ship, it took a toll on me, physically and mentally. after my 5th operation for a upper tibial osteotomy, my right knee had a side effect and i was very depressed. dr. herzog noticed my depression and helped me to change my life around!!! i wont get into specifics, but the guy literally changed my life for the better. i went to school to learn a trade in the medical field (hospital environment) and was fortunate to get hired in one. upon working with many specialized drs. i also met a few who were dr. herzogs students, who had nothing but high praise for him. like i said , i wasnt just a patient, he and i are dam good friends and highly recommend this fine dr. as far as coming into a patients room to see a patient??? maybe this poor… dr. was on emergency call all night trying to tend to a patient in need. think if you were up all night , you would be looking a little tired to. REMEMBER ,,,,it couldve been you or a loved one that he was tending to!!!!! god bless you dr. herzog

Very Laid Back yet gets to the point

I have been to Dr. Herzog's office recently for a knee issue. I feel he was very thorough and treated me appropriately. I didn't feel rushed or like a number. We schedule for a follow up in three weeks. However, Dr, Herzog said to call in a week or so and let him know how I was feeling. I may not need that follow up appointment if I was pain free. I did just that and was able to cancel the follow up appointment. I appreciate Dr. Herzog giving me that opportunity to not waste my time taking off from work and traveling a distance to get to his office as well. Completely satisfied!

Dr Herzog used his ultrasound to diagnose my rotator cuff issues that I have been having difficulty with since 08. I have had 2 failed surgeries and a co worker told me about him and his unique practice. After ultrasounding me he saw where I still had an issue in my shoulder and did a procedure called PRP. This was so much better than having surgery and virtually no down time and I'm back to my healthy life style of skiing, biking, kayaking etc. If anyone is suffering like I've been for years than Dr. John Herzog is for you!
