Dr. John Joseph Hewett, MD

As Dr. Hewitt had many excellent reviews on-line, I made an appointment to see him for varicose veins. I was not informed until after I had undergone an hour & a half long ultrasound that Dr. Hewitt only deals with cosmetic laser vein removal (not covered by insurance). I was actually seen by a Dr. Kolantari who does minimally invasive vein removal (covered by insurance). It was Dr. Kolantari who told me he would be treating me during a 40 minute consultation. He was very nice & seemed competent but I am finding now that he has only 1 on-line review. Following his visit, I was fitted for pneumatic tactile leg cuffs apparently required by MC. Now after going through all the machinations of preparing for the procedure, my visit took approx. 3 hours to complete, I am in a quandary as to whether I should trust Dr. Jalil Kolantari with my care. Was this a bait n switch? In addition, it is very difficult to reach the office. They take days to respond to messages.

This is a super efficient office. Medical tests were done immediately BEFORE the first consultation with Dr. Hewett. Then, upon first meeting with him a few minutes later, the test results were in his hand. He explained everything thoroughly and took his time with all my questions. Ditto for all the support staff. I give this office a WOW!

I took my mom to see Dr. Hewett at Pedes Orange County earlier this year. I can't even explain how happy both my mom and I are with Dr. Hewett and his staff. My mom felt so comfortable from the second she walked in for her first appointment. Since her procedure, my mom hasn't quit talking about her experience and the confidence she gained. Thank you to Dr. Hewett and his amazing staff!

I found Dr. Hewett to be very professional and genuinely interested in my medical vascular needs. It was my first visit to his office and I was extremely impressed by the in depth testing services provided prior to the Doctor's final diagnosis of my problems.

Excellent patient care. My first visit was very comforting. Doctor and staff are very competent and focused on patient care. Dr. Hewett was very thorough and patient. Theresa and Jannah were nice and professional.

Everyone in the office, Greg and Miguel, were very friendly and thorough. Also, Jen was very pleasant when making my appt. It was my first time at this office.

I felt like I was being rushed and talked down to by Dr Hewett. It is obvious he thinks very highly of himself and is just in this "business" to turn over customers quickly, rather than being concerned at all about anybody's health.

Dr. Hewett saved my mother's feet. When she first saw the doctor her toes were brown and dying. Doctor Hewett got the blood flow back into the feet so that her toes didn't need to be amputated. He has completely changed her life.

Doctor Hewett and his staff saved my feet. I truly thank them for everything they have done to help fix my blood vessels. I would not be walking today if it were not for him.

Dr. Hewett really impressed me with this level of knowledge and compassion. I haven't been this impressed by a doctor for many years.
