Dr. John Trimmer Hicks, MD

I agree with the lady who states one expects to see a dog roaming around in a vet's office. I am one who am not dog friendly. I found another physician for this very reason. Dr. Hicks repeatedly prescribe the same medication over and over again after I told him it was not doing anything to help my problem. Same symptoms persisted. Might add medication was expensive not to mention office visit.

Dr Hicks takes a little getting to know, but it is well worth it. He really care about his patients and wants you to feel better. He isn't like some rheumies who rely solely on blood tests for diagnosis. He takes into account your ability to move and swelling as well. I really love him and ride a long way to see him because he is worth it. He is more than just a doctor, he is a friend who listens, reassures, encourages, and helps you get better.

I was diagnosed with an autoimmune arthritis by Dr. Hicks ~3 years ago. I had no clue what was giving me so much pain and fatigue. In less than a month, I was pain free and could live a normal life again! The staff members are always friendly, fun and helpful. Dr. Hicks is always very friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better Rheumatologist. He changed my life!

Treated me like an old friend. Is doing all he can to find out whats wrong and make life tasks a little more manageable/comfortable. If someone is looking for a Dr. that cares and willing to search for answers, he's the one!

Absolutely the most informative physician I have ever met. So helpful, caring, funny, wonderful staff. I feel extremely fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Hicks for treatment.

He needs to keep that dog out of the office, not everyone likes dogs, I never thought I would see one in a doctors office other than a Vet.

Dr. Hicks is a great doctor. He diagnosed my "brand" of RA and began effective treatment immediately. it was wonderful to finally have answers to the questions and relief from the pain that i suffered for so long.
