Dr. John Reddick Hicks II, MD

Incredibly smart man who has a lot of compassion for his patients. So happy and I guess so lucky that I found him as my Cardiologist,. Would not dream of switching to anyone else. Everyone at his office is very pleasant. All calls that I’ve made to the office were returned quickly if necessary.

I was diagnosed with AFib and Hypertrophic obstructive cardio myapathy. I was so nervous about my health condition. Dr. Hicks had me complete the necessary testing and assured me I was going to be fine. He is so compassionate as well as his office staff are beyond excellent. May God always bless him and his staff. I am so happy he is my cardiologist. May he live forever.

This guy, John Hicks, the so called Doctor is a joke. I was refered to this Doctor by my Family doctor because of the urgency of me seeing a heart specialist fast. He was able to get me in the next day after calling his office. I should have known something was up when his office offered a open schedule the on that day. I went in because I had a previous blockage and very high blood pressure that my primary care doctor couldn't get controled. Doctor hicks told me that I shouldn't be checking my blood pressure from my home. To let him check it. I told him that I could have a heart attack or stroke. All he said was that would be fate." Was up to god". I couldn't beleave my ears. He told me that he didn't believe my other cardioligist about my blockage and wanted me to come back to his office the next day for a stress test. I told him that I couldn't do a stress test on a tread mill because of a back injury. He then went on about having a back problem himself along with replaced knees. He… said that if he could do it I could. He just wanted the money that my insurance would pay him. If you have a heart problem don't go see this doctor.If you do you'll surly be sorry,like I was. It would be well worth the wait to just see any other of the "Good" doctors in this area.

The most condescending, arrogant an pompous person I have ever met.

I was referred to Dr. Hicks in Columbia, S. C. 12 years ago. Dr. Hicks diagnosed my situation and talked with me and my family before referring me to a surgeon for triple bypass surgery. Dr. Hicks is brilliant and caring. I have followed Dr. Hicks to Myrtle Beach for my cardiac care. I recommend Dr. Hicks to anyone that needs any one of the illnesses in his expertise. You wouldn't find a doctor any better any where.

The office was very nice and clean and I enjoyed the artwork. Office staff was extremely caring and courteous. Basically the best staff I have ever came in contact with. Dr. Hicks was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. Check in and check out was fast and easy and everyone there was very nice. I felt like I was a part of their family. I will come back for all my cardiac needs and I will recommend them to anyone I know who needs cardiac care.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the care, attention and follow-up with Dr. Hicks and his staff. I came away fully confident in the Doctors analysis and his personal explanation of the results and recommendations.

I am 63 years old, I have never had a Dr. more caring and professional Dr. than Dr Hicks.He works tirelessly to listen,diagnose and treat your condition. I would recommend Dr. Hicks to everyone

You will not be able to reach Dr. Hicks in the evening or on weekends. His practice does not have an answering service. I would not recommend this cardiologist for patients with any level of heart disease. I also found that care of standard and lacked a standard of practice that uses advanced care.
