Dr. John Pollard Hoover, DDS

Provides excellent care. Very patient and does great work. It’s worth it to pay a little more to get a provider who specializes in only root canals. After the expense of a crown, why wouldn’t you go to a specialist? Read the many excellent reviews.

I saw there were a couple of bad reviews that seem to sound more like personal payback they are so overly vehement. It’s a shame anyone can hide behind a review to slander someone to try to hurt someone’s business indiscriminately. In fact, I bet they were written by the same person. The only doctor they need to see is a psychiatrist. Dr. Hoover provides detailed care. Takes pride in his work. Highly recommend. Like Abraham Lincoln said, “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.”1

I was in a bit of pain and really stressed out, Dr. Hoover immediately addressed my concerns. Dr. Hoover is great, took care of the issue and would definitely recommend him, without any hesitation!

I was so impressed by Dr. Hoover & staff! Had researched doctors before having my root canal, & Dr. Hoover had obtained extra training with top experts to master latest methods. Was so pleasantly surprised that a root canal could be painless & not at all a bad experience! He & staff were really nice, & very knowledgeable & accommodating. Recommend without reservation!

I wemt in for a root canal on one of my front teeth, I paid 1100$ and within 4 days my entire tooth broke off in the gum

DON'T GO HERE! DR. Hoover is so petty and greedy. I had a root canal, and paid $600 out of pocket . My insurance, TRICARE covered the rest. Greedy Hoover snuck in an additional $84.10 on a hand written envelop that resembled junk mail. Since he was a dentist that was referred to me, I wasn't expecting a bill, plus I already paid $600 after the procedure. This greedy dentist sued me for $84.10 that I didn't realize I owed, and I just agreed to pay it plus $140.00 in court cost . So that's over $800 for a procedure. Greedy Hoover enjoy your expensive dinner with a guest on ME!!! YOU SUCK!!!

I’ve had 3 root canals with Dr. Hoover over the years and each time has been a great experience. As pain free as a root canal can get, he gives complete explanations, sets up prompt appointments and has a great staff. I’ve taken my wife (2x) and two friends and all have been happy patients.

I was so nervous about getting my first root canal but Dr. Hoover and his staff made it so much better than I ever thought it could be. Everyone at his office was so sweet and understanding and they even called me the next day to see how I was feeling! I hope I never have to have another root canal, but if I do I will be going to Dr. Hoover for sure.

I had severe tooth pain and I needed to see an endodontist that day. I called the office and told the staff that I was in severe pain. They got me in that day and the doctor and staff where very nice and caring. I always thought a root canal would be painful. It was basically painless. They eased my fears before treatment and told me that if anything bothered me to let them know. That reduced my anxiety and they were very caring! I will return there if I ever need another root canal!

Dr. Hoover had to keep redoing the same root canal. A total of 3 times and then we had to go to a real dentist to actually get it done. I hate to call him a quack because I wouldn't want to insult a duck. My wife also had to suffer his rudeness.
