Dr. John S Hottenstein

While I never write reviews, I felt the need to respond to the first reviewer. I have been a patient of Dr. Hottenstein's for over 15 years. When I first started coming I was a total mess. I had severe gum disease and was well on my way to losing all my teeth. With the help Dr Hottenstein (now more with Dr Jordan) and his amazing staff of hygienists I have seen an incredible improvement. Not only have I not lost any teeth but I can tell how amazing and healthy my mouth feels. I have had multiple hygienists for cleanings over the years and all of them have been incredible. My teeth feel so clean and amazing after every visit that I have even been paying for 2 extra cleanings per year (every 3 months)out of pocket. The first reviewer is either very misinformed or never actually stepped foot into their office. I recommended Central Berks Dental to ALL of my friends and family! They are simply the best!! Thank you again!!

I wouldn't recommend him or his son, Jordan, to my worst enemy. Dr. S Hottenstein ordered my hygentist not to remove all the tartar off of my teeth.My periodontist told me I had extensive recession & bone loss thanks to these idiots!! Wish I would've sued him & his practice. I did file a complaint with the ADA. Good luck if you see these crooks!!

I have been going here for 30+ years and while I have moved pretty far away I still continue to go here because it is tough to find a great dentist. When you find one you never want to have to look for another one (trial and error with my teeth is something I want to avoid at all costs). Too many dentists are focused on selling things you don't need and place patients as a distant second in their priority which is a tragedy in such an important area of one's life. I have heard countless horror stories of other dentist offices (resulting in pain and procedures that didn't sound quite right) that I would still go here even if I had to pay out of pocket because my teeth and mouth are extremely important to my health and well-being. I am one that doesn't write good reviews often but these folks truly are the best. The office staff is friendly and tries their best, the hygienist do a great job and the dentist does not try to sell you on things that don't make sense. Good cleanings… and good advice are priceless in my book.
