Dr. John Kevin Hynes, MD

I feel very confident that Dr. Hynes is brilliant in his knowledge of how the cardio system functions, and he is a nice person. The unfortunate part of his practice is that his staff is not organized (they are generally friendly) but it's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone without a considerable delay (more than most any doctor I have ever visited). Appointment are scheduled weeks in advance regardless of the issue (my experience). Follow up is pretty much non-existent, for reasons of the staff chaos. It's too bad because Dr. Hynes himself is brilliant! If you are not easy bothered by the difficulty of office protocol, and need someone who truly understands medicine, then Dr. Hynes is recommended. However, more often than not I will avoid any appointment due to the difficulty of trying to communicate with him. That has created some dangerous situations for me. It is possible to get good care as he knows his medicine, but getting hold of him hasn't been easy, or without… considerable frustration.
