Dr. John Michael Improta, MD

I met Dr. Improta 18 years ago at ECMC. He is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Obviously I've known his staff too. They have always been warm and friendly. And effecient when I need a refill or appointment. CALL DR. IMPROTA!!

I have been a patient of Dr Improta for about 15 or so years. It took me a long time to find a Doctor who knew about the bipolar depression and anxiety. His treatment of me has been a godsend, he found the correct meds I needed and, I do stumble at times, he is always there to help me “up”. I find him very easy to talk to he listens and he offers his advice, a solution, and treatment. And he ALWAYS follows up with me. Shows he not only is a great doctor he is also a great person. I thank God for him.

I use to like this doctor a lot but he didn't get the job he wanted has the Cpep director a female doctor got it and she is better than him and knows more about psych stuff than him. Ever since this happen he always has been short with people and the nurses agree with me and all the workers he is not very friendly like he use to be. Talks about my problems in front of people and is just very rude and thinks he is always right but there are a lot of doctors out there that are better than him he use to be very helpful but now is very short and doesn't answer questions and just expects me know everything and doesn't give me a chance to speak HE USE TO BE GREAT. Now is horrible and phony and fake

in my darkest moments,,DR was there to help me to go on a good direction,he is very a honest.that is what important to me

I would recommend Dr.John Improta to anyone who needs a listening ear,a tender heart, and an expert on diagnostic knowledge.

Since I was a 15 years old I was in an out of ECMC (C-PEP), There has been a lot of times I've been in there and I spoke and worked with Dr Improta, From what I saw in him was a doctor who really cared and listend to the things that were going on in my life and were troubling me to depression and suicide. I've been in there for all sorts of things include suicide attempts, he really cared and did the right thing by either admitting me or sending me home and made sure I had the proper care. In my eyes I feel he would be very good at an out patient company and I always like reporting good doctors like himself because it takes a lot in my eyes to be a psychiatrist to see people like myself go through stuggles of depression, suicide and mood swings. I give him a lot of correted because he does very well! GREAT JOB! I feel I should of wrote something because it's the truth. thanks for the help of the times i've been in c-pep!
