After traveling to his office over 130 miles one way, twice, Dr. Jenkins couldn't even be bothered to look at the xrays he ordered. Takes a wait and see approach, no matter the level of pain... let's wait 6 months and see what happens. Went to another Rheumatologist, and he diagnosed, and prescribed and took care of pain within 2 weeks.

Dr. John Jenkins has been both mine and my husband's Rheumatologist for the past five years. During my first appointment with him I was worried about his bedside manner, but from my second appointment until now I think he is great. He is an extremely intellectual doctor and is excellent at finding individual solutions for each patient. What I thought at first was indifference turned out to be him just thinking through problems. He has an excellent memory about his patients and asks me about work, my family, hobbies, etc. that I might have mentioned years before. His transition from AOC to Yellowstone Medical in 2018 was a bit rough. The fault wasn't on him or his core staff, but the bureaucracy of being engulfed by a large hospital system (billing, scheduling, etc.). His NP/PAs and nurses are also beyond wonderful and very caring. I wonder if the other ratings (without any comments) ever gave him a chance, or had to depend on him to help when no one else would???
