Dr. John Mamman Kailath, MD

Dr. Kailath is an absolute Godsend. He's been treating me for two years and he's my all-time favorite doctor. I had stage 4 throat and lung cancer when I first saw him and I've been in remission for almost a year, thanks to Dr. K. He and Izzy, his assistant, never rush you and both truly care about their patients.

This whole office from the front counter to Dr. Kailath and Izzy his assistant are wonderful, caring nurturing people. I've never had a medical office go so above and beyond for its patients! I would highly recommend this office for treatment.

Dr. John Kailath was my oncologist when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 15 years ago. Since the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes, the standardized treament at that time (for my stage of cancer diagnosis) was optional regarding the use of CMF (cytoxin, methotrexate, 5-fluorocil) chemo for 6 months. Dr. Kailath opted to use that treatment which has since become the standard. Also, since my BC was estrogen-receptor-positive, Dr. Kailath prescribed tamoxifen for 5 years. Any time I had questions, Dr. Kailath was there to answer them. He spent as much time as I needed at each office visit (which would account for the long waiting-room times--and I endorse that), and he even called me at home to see how I was doing. I know others have rated him as average. In my opinion, Dr. Kailath was responsible for giving me the last 15 years of my life, and I will be eternally grateful. He kept me going when my GP stopped calling me and just left me hanging.
