Dr. John Kehinde Keku, MD

I was taken back to the hospital after a bad fall where I broke my arm and shoulder into more than 4 pieces the day before. The ER dr. had sent me back home and the pain was so bad I was having trouble talking and was hurting in my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack, but they said my heart checked out fine and it was being caused by pain. Dr. Keku put me in the hospital under observation for two days giving me morophine and Percoset then sent me back home again. They did nothing and just said my arm would heal back on it's own. The pain continued throughout the weekend and Monday morning I called Goldsboro orthopedics. They saw me the next day on Tuesday. I saw a PA there and they did x-rays and found my arm and shoullder joint was boken in at least 4 pieces. They scheduled me for surgery that Friday morning Nov. 9th, 2018. When I had the surgery they found my shoulder broken so bad they couldn't use my bone. and I had to have a total reverse shoulder replacement. This… doctor should never have kept me there at UNC Lenoir or sent me back home . I should have been immediately sent to another hospital that was prepared to deal with my injury so as not to prolong the suffering I was experiencing. I ended up suffering for 10 days before getting the surgery I needed. This is unacceptable. Now I am being turned over to the credit collections because I refuse to pay this man who is responsible for my suffering. What kind of Dr. alows someone to suffer like this?

Awesome physician really took care of my breathing trouble in just a few minutes God bless him. We need more doctor like him. In all North Carolina. Thank you so very much Aaron Derry .
