Dr. John Munn Kirkwood, MD

I have had nothing but wonderful care from this man! He sipure knows his job in treatment of Melanoma Cancer. He is compassionate,caring about YOU,your welfare,health and trying in studies to get this horrible disease under control or entirely gone! His staff is awesome too. Would highly recommend his Care to anyone who needs it!

Dr. Kirkwood was very rude and condescending. I would rather die then see this so called doctor again.

The most knowledgable person I could have imagined. Staff was first class and he took the time to really explain everything and made sure I had no questions leaving.

Dr kirkwook saved me physically and mentally. He is very detailed, and I consider him an expert in dealing with my cancer. He has excellent bedside manners, very caring and gives all the time needed during all my visits.

I visited Dr. Kirkwood after my cancer had been diagnosed and removed. He was kind, understanding, patient and very knowledgable. He immediately had me feeling comfortable and relaxed. I see Dr. Kirkwood only once a year but he is always great!!!!

I have been to or advised by approximately 150 health professionls in the last 15 years. Dr. Kirkwood was among the very best in his professionalism and knowledge.

Dr. Kirkwood left my 81 year old mother with stage 4 melanoma to wait for over 3 hours in his waiting room for an appointment- then when Dr. Kirkwood finally shows up, he informs her that her test results (which took 6 weeks to receive) still weren't in and dismissed us after 5 minutes of time. Provided no treatment to her at all during two month period after diagnosis. We did not receive more than 10 minutes time total speaking with the doctor over two months. We knew she wouldn't be "cured", we hoped that something could be given to slow it down. We felt totally blown off by Dr. Kirkwood. We were told to be patient because it was the holidays and many staff were out; meanwhile we were watching our mother die. In the absence of any applied cancer treatment she passed away within 3 months of diagnosis.

Dr. John is very friendly, however, our appointment was at 2:30pm and we did not get called in until 4:30 pm; if we have appt. we should not wait no more then 30 minutes. It seemed like the doctor was in a rush and I don't like that. I asked the M.A. that I wanted her to get blood work done and she did not write it down or tell doctor. I had to go to the front and requested it. Since it was 5:00pm I had to wait until Monday to get lab papers because they were closed, very unprofessional.
