Dr. John Erasmus Klibanoff, MD

Dr. Klibanoff said he need to straighten my leg before doing a knee replacement saying a knee replacement wouldn't last with my leg bowed the way it was. I had him do that. Four months later he did a knee replacement on my opposite knee saying he could straighten and do the replacement on that leg because it wasn't bowed as bad. Over 1 year later and doing the PT both knee's feel worse than before either surgeries. A few months back I had an appointment with him and he said the pain I was having was the cause of my lack of range of motion and prescribed a pain medication for two months which did not help at all. I still feel that something is not right. I personally know two other patients of his who've had surgeries from him who also had problems with the results.

Meeting Dr. Klibanoff (2nd opinion) , was a relief. He was direct ,told me exactly what I had & would do what he felt was best during surgery. I felt confident w/him & appreciate his humor, straightforwardness. Everyone there put me at ease.

I meet him for the first time today after reading his reviews. I have been to another doctor who told me to do certain exercises and see him in two months. The tear became worse. I simply love my new doctor! He went into full detail about my shoulder and what he was going to do I felt quite assured and comfortable with him as opposed to the other doctor who was very short in speech and quite pompous. Now looking forward to this surgery . I am no longer worried

Dr. John fixed my wife's meniscus, then replaced my hip, and just recently replaced my wife's knee. Not only is he a great surgeon; his bedside manner is underated. I found him to be warm and humorous.

I usually do not respond to questions on rating services, but saw that my doctor (Dr. Klibanoff) was on here. He performed my knee surgery when the doctors at our "University" told me there was nothing to be done - I suspect because of my age and size. He was completely compassionate and had an excellent bedside manner. Anyone can write a bad review if they have a bad experience, but I notice there are no specifics...hmmm. Talk to people in the community about who will see patients other doctors won't, that's who I pick!!

He may be a good surgeon but he is lacking compassion and has poor bedside manner. Many patients are nervous about surgery, ect and need a gentle, compassionate doctor! He is lacking that!!

As an aging former athlete in his 40’s, hips and knees are a challenge. Doctor Klibanoff has delivered world class treatment so I can get off the sidelines and enjoy life! Last year he replaced my hip and changed my life; I’m back to the gym, golfing, skiing and most importantly sleeping! This summer he’s looking after my knee with the same excellent care. His patient centric approach is modeled by his entire staff. I couldn’t recommend a better Orthopedist.

Dr. Klibanoff replaced both hips on my wife. No one else would do them but Dr. K explained the risks and everything turned out wonderful. We traveled 3 hours to see him and it was definitely worth it. I would recommend him too anyone and actually, I already have.

he is truly the best orthopedic doctor in the world!

Had complicated injury in my 20s. At Strong no one would help me because I was too young (really too fat I think). Dr. K saw me, explained the reconstructions I needed and I trusted him. I walk straight now three years later and NO pain.
