Dr. John Eric Koella, MD

I can’t express how wonderful of a dr he is. He took his time and talk to my father who is 91 years old family and explain all health related issues and also took his time to give us info on the best way to help him and set things up at home to make it safe for him to return home. I recommend him ?? %

I had been used to GPs who rushed in and out or had their hand on the doorknob, so Dr. Koella was refreshing in that he answered questions and was responsive to my care. He even went out of his way to visit patients in the hospital. He has an impressive medical background and training and has worked in impoverished countries with inadequate medical supplies. Any doctor who is willing to help the poor is invested in patient care (in my opinion)! I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

JK has many good medical skills, but he is extremely insensitive to patients' specific concerns, doesn't keep his patients informed about tests that should be done to monitor their health (I think maybe he has too many patients), and has NO respect for their schedules. I decided to change PCPs after a visit where I waited for more than an hour to be seen (although I had a scheduled appointment) then received no recommendation for how to deal with the complaint that concerned me, and ended up going to urgent care two weeks later to get help. Very frustrating.
