Doctor Avi has the most kind and caring personality. It is such a pleasure talking with him.

Dr. Kung performed Lasik surgery on me several years ago and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I ended up with extreme dry eyes which have not subsided many years later. I am now reliant on artificial tears and prescription drops ($100 per month). He likes to always downplay your concerns and offer no help for something he caused.

These guys are too much. I had asked for appointment with ophthalmologist for pain in my right eye and when I reach there, I am being diagnosed by an optometrist without my knowledge. Later when I googled and searched, I found out that the doctor seeing me was not the same as I was told on the phone about. They do not even bother to tell that I will be seeing an optometrist instead of ophthalmologist. Then the optometrist gave me refraction prescription which I came to know later is not part of my medical visit today so was being charged extra. They can make anyone fool.

Dr. Kung performed lasik surgery on me many years ago. The outcome was awful and I now suffer from daily eye pain and double vision. His bedside manners are terrible as well. He only cares about one thing...your money.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THIS DR AS A DEGREE IN OPHTHALMOLOGY. HE DOESN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CATARACT AND MACULAR DEGENERATION!!!! HE TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO HAVE SURGERY FOR CATARACTS BUT AFTER GOING TO ANOTHER OPHTHALMOLOGIST I WAS ADVISED THAT I DO NOT HAVE CATARACTS. I HAVE MACULAR DEGENERATION. DO THINK I WAS GOING TO SPEND $5000 TO GET A ADVANCE LENS. I CALLED MEDICARE TO INFORM THEM THAT THIS DR IS TRYING TO GET MONEY FROM PATIENTS. RIP OFF NEVER GO TO THIS OFFICE. HE ALSO HAS A OFFICE IN STATEN ISLAND TO.

I am a 78 year old retired teacher living in Staten Island. I had cataract surgery by Dr Kung 4 months ago. He convinced me that I needed the “laser” and a “Restore” lens to make sure I saw perfectly without glasses. I had to pay over $5,000 extra for these services. I really couldn’t afford to pay extra but his office told me that I could take out a loan and that this what is best for me. I really didn’t feel that I had any other choice so I took out a loan and went ahead with what they suggested. It’s now four months later and I still don’t see well. My vision is roughly the same and maybe even slightly worse. I still need glasses. I went for a second opinion and even a third opinion and both doctors told me the same thing. “I really don’t have a cataract and I am suffering from macular degeneration”. They both told me that i wasn’t a candidate for the laser or lens or cataract surgery at all!!!! I am writing to warn other people. DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN!!! I feel so duped. I… am now paying off this loan and I barely can see.

When you find out you were charged for something you never needed , you need to let the world to know to stay away from this office. Always get a second opinion!!!

Stay away from this doctor. Horrible clinical skills and terrible at explaining anything . STAY AWAY if you want to keep your sight. He stole my life now I just sit at home with eye pain wishing I had gone to another optamologist

I had laser cataract surgery with a better lens. I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend all that extra money. I had surgery on one eye and I can't believe it's so much clearer already! Very happy. Can't wait to have the other one done.
