Dr. John Richard Lamb, MD

I had Dr. Lamb for more than 5 years now as my Primary Physician. He pays attention to all the issues I was concerned about and took time to find the answers. He made his diagnosis accurately.When lab or xray result comes back, he personally called my cell phone to let me know my status. That itself was a display of compassion,care and love for his patients.I felt that he delivered an excellent medical care. He is very professional on his bed side manners. Making appointment is easy and relpies for prescription note is timely. His Staff Linda and Heather were focused on their task, catering to what their patient need. They made an extra effort to remind you if you have future follow up or up-coming appointment. Their friendly attitude would let you feel at ease in the midst of nervousness to see a doctor or being concern about yourself that they might find something wrong about your current health. I appreciate the fact that they value and respect my privacy, to keep my dignity as a… patient.For me, Dr. Lamb is the best Primary doctor on the island, his unquestionable professionalism and dedication to care for his patients is beyond compare.

Good diagnosis and service on regular scheduled visits. Called for anti-biotic prescription for tick bite on Friday AM. Still no prescription on Sunday. Doesn't check calls or respond on weekends. I'll probably have full-blown Lyme disease before I get a script...

No wonder he has been voted Best of the Vineyard for the past three years! What a great doctor. I am so lucky to be under his care since so many people on this island want him as their physician.

My husband and I see Dr. Lamb because of our health insurance. If I could find another PCP I would, because I like someone with a sense of humor, good personality, energy, etc., and Lamb doesn't have it. Otherwise, he seems competent, minus the personality, though he seems to have missed my hubby's hernia condition. The surgeon who followed up confirmed the condition.
