Total correction of earlier review I want to withdraw my earlier review where I complained about not having perfect vision after cataract surgery. I really do not need to wear glasses unless I want to. I wear one contact in my right eye when driving or going out and have 20/20 vision and do not wear contacts or glasses for reading or anything close. I was so unfair to dr. La Penta and I am truly sorry. I still think he is hard to communicate with but I am thrilled now with my vision. I have been so nearsighted my whole life and now I am so lucky not to need reading glasses with contacts and to wear one contact only when needed.

I thought with cataract surgery my astigmatism would be cured. I asked La Penta if I would have to wear glasses and he said “no.” He did not give me the lenses for astigmatism and of course I must buy new glasses and contacts. He does not even warn you when your eyes will be dilated in advance of driving home on a sunny day. He did not even explain why I needed extra drops after surgery for pressure. I had to look everything on google. He is just so lacking in communication.

He is a key player in my personal medical system working with me and my primary care doctor to provide the best care possible. Best eye doctor I have ever had and there have been many over the years.
