Dr. John Navin Larrimer, MD

Absolutely love this Doctor. He explains diagnosis and goes above and beyond.

At first I had a wonderful experience. He listened to full history, asked lots of questions, and took lots of notes. He makes it a point to say that he cares how patients are feeling, not lab numbers. Its bull crap! Don't believe him! He refused to give me proper thyroid medication, saying he thought it would clear up if I gave up gluten. I had already been gluten free for months, but he didn't believe me. Next appt, he tells me I should just be patient, keep waitting. I couldn't wait anymore, so my gp wrote me a script. 5 months later, medication doesn't feel right. I asked to be switched to a different brand/type. He says no, he doesnt want to do that as my numbers look good. He tells me I should just really stop eatting gluten. (I tell him I haven't had gluten for nearly a year, but he again does not believe me.) Concludes appt with saying if I still feel bad he will switch my medication in a month. A month goes by, so I called him. He tells me that my numbers look good,… but I am "more than a piece of paper". I tell him I still feel bad, so I would like to try a different medication. He says he doesn't want me to switch as my numbers look good. I should just wait until the end of the summer. My metabolism will increase then. He also mentioned I should lay off the " potatoes, bread, and pasta". (I eat well and am a size xs!!! ) He also mentioned I should go easy on the salt. (I have low blood pressure, not high. What the heck??) I am tired of waiting and feeling terrible!!! Avoid this doctor!

Dr. Larrimer always make you feel your case is very important and he gives you 100% attention. Dr. Larrimer is never in a hurry and you never feel like you can't talk to him. He is one of the best physicians I have ever had.

Dr. Larrimer is an excellent doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Larrimer for 16 years now, he is the best endocrinologist in this part of the country. He diagnosed my thyroid problem when no other doctor could. As a nurse, I have taken care of some of his patients in the hospital, he always knew how to deal with an endocrine emergency. Thank heavens for doctors like this, they are few and far between.

Dr. Larrimer is the first doctor I have been to that listened to my complete medical history and asked questions and offered encouragement. He did not rush through my office visit. He is very caring and knowledgeable.
