Dr. John Robert Lawrence, MD

Dr. Lawrence called soon after I chose him as a Primary Care physician and noted that my current medication might not be meeting my needs. Indeed, I was struggling with it and happy to try his recommended Rx. It changed my life! And, as well, a year later when he explained two other medications that might help with my other conditions, he was totally receptive to my wish to stay with one that was a current medicine (with a preferred delivery method), and pass on the other based on discussion after my PubMed/Mayo research on benefit/risk. Finally, he also initiated a call during the worst of Air Alert days during Wildfire Season just to check on how I was doing and give support & advice on adjusting medication to stay comfortable. This, while working in a very large clinic/hospital setting. Sadly, he's moved out of our state. Best doctor I have ever interacted with, and my health was profoundly helped by his caring, collaborative, pro-active and accessible manner. Dr Lawrence is willing to go the extra mile for you. When my husband needed a new psychiatrist, he called around to find providers that took our insurance and were accepting new patients. I see him as well, and he has been very accommodating given the severity of my condition. He's from the area, and his parents were teachers at a local high school. He loves his community, and treats his patients well.
