Dr. John Joseph Leddy, MD

After reaching the end of the road with help from multiple other doctors, I was fortunate enough to meet with Dr. Leddy regarding my PCS. During the visit, he was extremely patient with my many questions and very thorough with his testing and recommendations. (Shoutout to Dr. Mohammad Haider, who facilitated my treadmill test-he was excellent as well!) Dr. Leddy offered me science backed answers from his extensive experience, and was honest about my chances for recovery (3 years post injury), which I appreciated. I have never been to a more caring doctor-he was genuinely invested in trying to help me. I had read all his studies, and I traveled five hours to see him, because he is the BEST of the best in his field. I cannot recommend him highly enough! Over the past five years I've been suffering horrible headaches and other symptoms that might have been caused by the over 10 concussions I suffered playing sports as a kid. I had heard about chronic traumatic encephalopathy that could be caused by concussions. Seeing that every other neurologist I saw couldn't figure out what was causing these symptoms, I figured I'd see the "best" concussion doctor in Buffalo. I know it's not a doctors job to have a good "beside manner" , but dr leddy has none. He was totally dismissive and acted as if I was hoping to have CTE. I just wanted help. I was out his door in 10 minutes( after waiting 20). I left and thought maybe there was nothing wrong with me....the problem is, the headaches are getting to the point I've been taken to the hospital due to not being able to speak or see, and every other symptom is exponentially worse. So , two years after seeing dr leddy I did some research on him. He did a research project for the NFL on "concussions… ", even thou the NFL has an economic interest in the facts seeing the light of day. If you are having lasting problems that could be from TBI earlier in life, unfortunately there aren't many dr who can help, but at least you won't leave feeling like a hypochondriac

Dr. Leddy is a excellent and intelligent doctor. I would highly recommend him to all of my family and friends. He takes the time to explain everything and his secretary is outstanding.
