Dr. John L Leroy JR., MD

After seeing the May 2020 review, I feel I should have wrote my review immediately (don't know if it would have helped though as a few others complained about it previously that I had not seen myself prior to my surgery (I think on yahoo reviews but am unsure)). Dr. Leroy is a nice man, but do not have him do lipo on your neck or chin. He makes a 2 inch gash across your middle neck and when stitched up it creates 2 puckers on each side since the incision is so big. Almost 4 years later I'm still dealing with and It looks like I was assaulted and had my throat cut. The only thing that upsets me is that when I was on the table the day of surgery, I asked him "Now your going to go into the same previous incision, correct?" (as I had the procedure done before 20 years ago). He said "yes", but clearly he just said that to shut me up and get the surgery done. After surgery the puckers on each side of the incision were evident since its so long and again became prevalent immediately so… I addressed the concern with him and he told me yes he sees it but it might go down. I told him after the stitches were removed a friend noticed it while out to dinner and asked what had happened to me as he seen the protruding puckers and Dr. LeRoy told me "tell your friend to look somewhere else". What he doesn't understand when you pay 7,000 for plastic surgery you want hidden results not other issues things that people can see and question "what happened". Now I would have thought he would have changed the way he did the cut for lipo procedure on the chin and neck with all the complaints, as he only needs a 1/2 inch incision directly under the chin as my first surgeon in the North did 20 years ago, but I guess he doesn't care as I have personally read 2 complaints about the same issue I complained about (before my procedure) and now I see just recently as May he is still doing the procedure the same way. Kinda unbelievable as he is costing us all more money in obtaining plastic surgeons who fix botched work. Anyways if you need lipo under your chin or neck DO NOT GO HERE, read all the reviews on all the different sites (yahoo, vitals, google, etc). I always thought my neck was one of the most sexiest things on me, now I won't stretch my neck or lift my neck in public and try hiding it every way possible (he unnecessarily created a cosmetic problem that was non-existent prior to him creating it for me, and numerous others). Everyday I'm reminded of it when looking in the mirror. With all that said, Dr. LeRoy is very nice and has good bedside manners and Rebecca truly cares and is an awesome receptionist (very sweet and keeps business coming in the door). I did have complications with my lower bandaid facelift with infection (not his fault), but he did address them so I have no issues to those procedures and will be looking for someone to do them again the way he does (not under anesthesia).

I had a Band-Aid facelift two and a half years ago and from the very beginning it was not a good result. My face and chin look good , my face and neck line look okay from the side. However the front of my neck looks terrible, there are three big indentations where the doctor did lipo and loose skin underneath that area and when I asked him what to do about it he did Botox injections, which I had to pay extra for , and it didn't help one bit. I am very unhappy with the way the front of my neck looks and believe I should have been offered another service to repair the work that wasn't done properly. The doctor is very nice and so is his staff, but I believe it was subpar work, and I spent a lot of money to have it done and the results were not satisfactory.

His assistant who name I've forgotten, got her nose all out of joint when I refused to let her weigh me for a consulation. I had to divulge to her that I had an eating disorder for her to back off. It is called Ortho Rexio Nervosa in case she wants to look it up. This was as absolutely none of her business but I was forced into a position of having to divulge it. This caused me great stress and my blood pressure to increase by at least 60 points causing Rebecca to say that the doctor would not perform the requested surgery. When I tried to inform her and the doctor that I do not have high blood pressure; that I have white coat syndrom which is a viable medical condition, they acted like I was lying and proceeded to enforce their opinions on me. I immediately canceled the surgery I had initiated and requested an immediate refund. This doctor is allowed to operate on anyone he chooses. But he is NOT allowed to pass his opinion on any foregoing medical conditions to which he has… not himself examined nor consulted with my medical doctor. The entire visit caused me a great deal of uncalled for and unneeded stress and aggravation. These people need to get a better education in reacting to and dealing with situations that are obviously out of their control and knowledge depth thereby not making matters worse for already stressed out people.

Dr Leroy is experienced and gets the job done. Working in the beauty department as a profession I had many choices, Many opportunities to go to many others. I met him took the chance as I never had met him in the industry and it was the best choice I ever made. I feel so good, I look so good. I am not overly done, healing was easy, scars are minimal and trust me I have sold these for huge practices I worked at. This was the best choice I ever made following my gut instinct. When your ready for results I can promise you he is THE BEST. It’s a small practice with a different feel from any thing I did ever see. Dr Leroy knows what he’s doing if you want the Best...

I had a bandaid face lift 5 years ago. I was so pleased with the results!!! The staff was so caring and supportive and I had Dr. Leroy's contact number for any concerns, during my recovery. I'm going back for another micro procedure soon. Would not go anywhere else!!! Grateful patient!!! BTL

I was very pleased with my recent surgical procedure. Dr. Leroy is extremely caring, down-to-earth, professional and competent. If I ever have another cosmetic procedure, I will not hesitate to have Dr. Leroy perform it.

100% pleased. Dr LeRoy and his staff are excellent in every respect. I was very impressed that Dr. LeRoy does not encourage a procedure that he doesn't feel is necessary. He is extremely knowledgeable and therefore my results were exactly as desired. I have recommended him to friends and will continue to do so.

Dr. LeRoy is very down to earth. He tells it like it is and would never talk you into anything you didn't need. My mother and I are both his patients for life!
