Dr. John Michael Lesher, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Lescher since 2017/2018. Dr. Lescher has always had a holistic approach to managing low back pain. He has always been assistive in helping me develop a plan to manage the pain, including pilates, strength sessions, mindset, etc. He has helped me and supported me in developing a success plan for events, vacations and quality of life. I had to have another physician administer my injections at a different practice when Dr. Lescher was out and had a terrible experience. I only trust Dr. Lescher with my injections. His staff at Piedmont are always kind and respectful. I know he has alot of pts to see and is sometimes rushed but again, he is the only one I trust with my back care.

Dr. Lesher did a thorough assessment of my condition and clearly explained next steps in care. I appreciated that he was conservative in treatment and did not feel that additional imaging or intervention was needed. He encouraged me to continue exercise as tolerated, told me what movements to avoid, and recommended an exercise that will effectively work key muscles while keeping my cervical spine in a neutral position so as to prevent any further nerve irritation. I trust Dr. Lesher and also found him to be very personable and an excellent communicator.

I was referred to Dr. Lesher by a friend. It has been the best decision I have made. I moved her recently and was seeing another pain management which cannot meet the standards of Dr. Lesher's office. He is professional and caring and researches the best method to relieve the pain. In my case he did. His staff is the best. Michelle who is his nurse is caring in the first office visit and in when I had my shot. She made the entire procedure very unnerving. Patrice was also very caring and again made the procedure unnerving. Traci who schedules the procedures was patient when scheduling my appointment and immediately retrieved the records from my prior pain management company. The nurse who I apologize do not have her name after the shot was very specific in giving me the procedure for after the shot. Thank you all for being you and caring about your patients. You are the best.

I moved here recently and was referred to Dr. Lesher office. I see why his professionalism and kindness through the whole first meeting to the shot was beyond my expectations.nothing that I have experienced in my other office. Let me also add I was so nervous at the first meeting till Michelle Dr Lezher nurse entered the room. She is also so professional and caring. Thanks Michlle. Also Teaci who does the s scheduling managed to schedule me and request my past records while I waited no rush. Thanks Traci. Patrice who I met on the day of the shot called prior to the day of injection to verify and she was very specific in having my history correct. She also the day of surgery was beyond caring. The nurse who I do not have her name after the shot was so sweet and caring also very specific in after shot directions. Thank you. Thank you all so much for making my experience great and feeling pain free.

I developed shoulder pain of insidious onset. After a week of misery I went in to see Dr. Lesher. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem (calcific tendonitis) with ultrasound and treated it promptly. I received immediate pain relief and my range of motion and function were quickly restored. Dr. Lesher and his staff were great and I am very thankful to them.

received third shot in back as i was experiencing pain throughout buttocks and down leg. shot helped immensely..my choice to receive shot and it worked so far and i understand this is not a cure for stenosis but making life manageable without surgery

We tried everything to alleviate my neck and shoulder pain. The only thing that really worked was to stop doing what caused it in the first place. He was kind, patient and very helpful.

Dr. Lesher has treated me for my bulging L5 disc. He has performed two injections for my sciatica which have been very helpful. I also had therapy at the Huntersville office under TJ's supervision and found it to be insturmental in getting me exercising again after being limited by my pain. Dr. Lesher has also treated my teenage daughter who suffered a stress fracture in her lower back. She is now back to playing volleyball painfree which we are delighted about. Overall I have been very pleased with Dr Lesher's care. My only concern is that the wait time can sometimes be lengthy but we feel it's worth it.
