Summary
After receiving his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Lewin completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He remained at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center as a faculty member for ten years, during which he was instrumental in the introduction of digital mammography. Dr. Lewin developed a new technique of digital mammography, contrast-enhanced digital mammography, which is now a commercial product. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, a fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging and was honored in 2012 as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. Dr. Lewin is the head of the Breast Imaging Core at Diversified Radiology of Colorado and the medical director of the Rose Breast Center. He is also president of the Diversified Radiology of Colorado Research Institute and is currently working on breakthrough techniques for the early detection of breast disease, leading a project to refine and …expand contrast-enhanced digital mammography. Dr. Lewin lives in Denver with his wife and three children and is a fourth-generation Coloradoan. When not at work, he enjoys tennis, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.
