Dr. John Michael Lewis, MD

Dr lewis, hmmm well let me start by saying I been seeing him since I was a little girl, when I was 2 years old I had an accident. Many surgeries done by him and I say all was great. He is a Terrific dr and is great at what he does. I will always recommend him to anyone in need of eye issues. Being so young as I was he always was patient and kind.

Poor treatment decision, followed by surgical error for detached retina resulted in very poor and permanent eyesight.

Dr. Lewis treatment of my detached retina was a series of bad medical decisions. First he performed a pneumatic retinal procedure which did not work. After 6 days with little review by Dr. Lewis, the macula became exposed by the increasing detachment. On the seventh day he performed sceleral buckle surgery, during which he caused a hemorrhage which caused blood to flow under the retina and onto the macula. I have since had 4 more operations and have an eye with which I cannot read, nor can it be improved from 20-80 vision.

Eye surgery caused a very rare hemorrhage which damaged one of my eyes.
