Dr. John Livingstone II, MD

I had an appointment yesterday with Dr Livingstone. I was referred to Riverside because the MC Donald's hospital nurses at Fort Eustis could not determine what I had. This is the first time a doctor has been so patient with me. He took his time and listens to my story. He did not hurry me and despite my accent he took his time. I was more than happy. It was a very beautiful experience. Thank you for your promptness and dedication. It is clear that I would recommend it without hesitation.

New patient, Dr seemed ok, staff not so much. Trying to get your lab results seems impossible, you can call them but they can’t return your calls.

Dr Livingstone is not good with follow ups. After the diagnosis, we had contacted him regarding issues with the medication and a better understanding of the diagnosis. He didn't return any of the 6 phone messages we had left him over a 4 week period.

This was my fathers last visit and dr livingstone was patronizing to us. He was wearing a facial mask and we felt as though he was aggravated we brought our father in to see him

He is excellent Doctor

Been a patient of his for over 10 years and he has been such a kind and thoughtful Doctor! He has done a great job with me and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a neurologist.

It takes a month for a call back for a MRI referral. Then sends you to get MRI at a place that is twice the amount insurance is willing to pay.

Awesome doctor....just the kind we've been looking for! We have compared him to a epilepsy specialist we saw at MCV for over 10 yrs. and are equally happy, if not more, in the attention and service we are receiving from him. He's both professional, and realistic, and talks with us in 'people' words. At this time, we can't say enough good about him!!! Thanks!

Dr Livingstone is insensitive and talks down to the elderly. I would never recommend him to anyone above the age of 65. I have suffered a great deal due to his misdiagnosis of someone I love and care for. I have lost a great deal of my life because of his misdiagnosis, and I and my family continue to suffer. He does not order the right tests at the right time. He's apparently more concerned with not ordering tests for the elderly due to the Medicare point system.

He does not address concerns of patients adequately. He seems to disregard patient concerns although he displays concern in person. When calling the office concerning patient medical concerns, there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency or concern with him of his office.
