Really great hand doctor

Excellent surgeon. I have recommended him several times and all the feedback has been as positive as my own personal experience. We are fortunate to have him practicing I this area.

Three surgeries with Danbury Orthopedics. Lunt is arrogant and unskilled. Caused flexor tendon to rupture after repair and failed to thread temporary tendon through pulley system in finger. Now stuck with bowing tendon and two more surgeries. Not with Lunt ever again.

Hands down the best hand/arm surgeon - diagnosed what others had missed! Great bedside matter - very kind personality and explains everything in detail - you are never rushed. You may have to wait a while to see him, but worth it!

After multiple visits, testing, etc. with other doctors, it took only 1 visit with Dr. Lunt to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. He takes his time and is very thorough with his exam. You never feel rushed. He has the best bedside manner of any of our doctors and he makes you feel very comfortable.

We have used Dr. Lunt on several occasions. He has a wonderful, warm personality, and really seems to care about his patients. He is extremely knowledgable with accurante diagnosis and care. He did my carpal tunnel surgery - it was very successful and hardly a mark. He also came in on Sunday to open the office to stitch my finger after I sliced it - he wanted to make sure there was no nerve damage. He also treated my son's broken wrist. I have recommended him to many friends, all were very happy. The only issue is getting an appointment. Since he is so popular, you will have to wait for an appointment. You will also wait in the waiting room for your appointment (particularly in the afternoon), but he is worth he wait, he will spend the time you need with you and you will not feel rushed.

I recently had hand surgery with Dr. Lunt and was very pleased with my care. He not only is a competent surgeon but was very personable, taking time to explain everything to me . He also has a great sense of humor which I am sure puts his patients at ease and makes him a pleasure to work with. I would also like to say that the nurses, anesthesiologist and the hand therapy department were also very professional and helpful.

I really like Dr Lunt, very personable, caring, attentive and willing to take the time to address my concerns. Defiantely knows his stuff, is well trained. My concerns center around his office staff: when I first called to set up an appointment, I had to wait 2 weeks, he was on vacation week 1-school break, and booked week 2. I asked to make an appointment week 3, or is there a cancellation list as I am flexible and can come in almost anytime week 2. No list, I was told to call daily. I call back the friday of his vacation week and I get a different secretary, aka "the good one." I tell her what I was told and state that I am calling to see if there were any cancellations for Mon. She tells me," No, but we have a cancellation list." Sigh. "Do you have an appointment?" no the other secretary wouldn't make one. Good secretary makes me an appointment, puts me on the wait list, and agrees to mail me the registration forms so this will go smoothly. (no forms to download on website). I have… to call back 1 1/2 weeks later-never got the forms. Finally, I get them 2 days later. My appointment is one of the first right after lunch yet I am kept waiting 45 minutes, no one ever offers an explanation such as we had an emergency, stuck in surgery. Nothing. I end up rushing to another obligation, even though I had plenty of time between the appointment with Lunt, had he seen me on time, and what I had to do next. Grr. While in the waiting room, staff kept coming into the secretarial area for coffee. 2 secretaries in back were eating lunch-one actually took the 45 minutes to face the patients and eat a salad. Don't they have a break room? I was put off by that. It's one thing to sip a beverage, but to chew like a rabbit for 45 minutes? No thanks. never mind really unsanitary. Another was on a computer website-guess she didn't have anything better to do, she was showing others whatever this site was. Maybe that was the one who couldn't be bothered to set up an appointment initially for me? The actual appointment initially was rushed and it was obvious that he was behind and anxious. I'd hate to work under that constraint as well. I had a slew of paperwork, which he nicely tells me to send ahead next time so that he has time to review it. HUH??Good secretary asked me and knew that I had paperwork yet never told me to mail it in. I didn't address it with him-what's the point? So I verbally told him what was in the paperwork to save time. I sincerely suggest that the MD review his expectations of his staff. I was told that they are merging with Danbury ortho-that's a well oiled machine, so maybe the secretaries will change? I don't know if they'll keep the office on Tamarak ave once they do merge. If I was in an accient and Dr Lunt was called in to fix my hand, I'd be 100% confident that he'd do a great job and would be great to work with. Just bring a book for your follow up appointments.
