Dr. John Christopher Lyne, MD

I would not recommend Dr. Lyne. He never saw me at the preop. I admit it was a small procedure. Either he was having a bad day or he did not take it seriously. I was awake during the procedure. I have seen a lighter touch from a mechanic. I only needed 2 sutures. The one he tied way to tight making a dog Ear. This worries me when a surgeon can't do a simple suture. Then I need to have the suture removed because of his sloppy work. They wanted me to take a day off work. They would not see me after 3 like I needed. I am going to another practice to get the suture fixed. His staff is very nice

EXCELLENT DR. ! I have had Dr. Lyne through 4 kidney stone episodes 2 of which were laser extractions and the pre and follow up care were fantastic ! His staff were compassionate and knowledgeable . Phone calls and test results were prompt and explained in detail. Highly recommended !!

Dr.Lyne didn’t communicate with the patient or family members about the patients test results even after contacting his office 3 times (as discussed and promised) 2 days before The doctor is not empathetic, possesses a poor bedside manner and his appearance is untidy. When talking to office staff on the phone at his Wexford office they are rude and not at all helpful. His PA is also wasn’t helpful and did not return phone calls. Dr Lyne created unnecessary anxiety, and a visit to the ER could have been avoided with communication.

Dr. Lyne saved my life not just once, but twice. Nephrectomy in 1999 due to advanced renal cell cancer. When an entirely new cancer arose in my remaining kidney more than a decade later, he extended my life once again. Aside from his surgical skill, he is unassuming, kind, compassionate, has a ready smile and a sense of humor.

Have been treated by Dr. Lyne for bladder and Prostate cancers and kidney stones. I’m so impressed by his skill and excellent patient interaction that I came back to Pittsburgh from my present location for procedures just to be treated by him. That’s the level of respect that I have for his ability.

Kind, compassionate, conversational and very human. This gentleman puts you totally at ease and instills great confidence. Top-Notch surgeon, too.
