John Lyons JR., MD

Dr. John Lyons is a gastroenterologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions of the digestive system. He completed his residency at Duke University School of Medicine in 2004 and went on to pursue fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, finishing in 2008. Dr. Lyons is board certified in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He provides care in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Lyons practices at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo in San Diego, California, and maintains hospital privileges at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. His expertise includes treating colon polyps, hemorrhoids, and abdominal pain. He performs lower GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures with sedation to help patients feel comfortable during their care.
