John Maria, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in 1992 and completed his undergraduate studies at McDaniel University. Upon graduation from Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Maria was promoted to captain in the US Army and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. During his time as Division Optometrist for the 101st Airborne Assault (AASLT), he implemented the Aviation Contact Lens Program for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR). In practice since 1996, Dr. Maria provides primary eyecare, treatment of glaucoma, red eye, and eye injuries, as well as manages diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration.
