Dr. John Edward Massey, MD

I cannot believe what people said about Dr J.Maseey, He is very professional ,always tried help as much as possible,He always has assistant in exam room, He spend as much as needs ,always very polite, one oof the Best doctor I know, I am his patient about 10 years, unfortunately he is not magic, but He is very good, Sorry Dr Massey, people dishonest ......

First I am a very complicated case. I am diagnosed with Failed Back Surgery Syndrome. I have had 4 Back Surgeries all of which went sideways. Most importantly, during my last 2, 48 hours hours apart, but planned to be concurrent, to un install 2 cages, in through front and again through the back, successively, both went side ways. I.bled out during each of the 2, a total of 3 strokes and dead over 6 minutes each. I was referred to Doctor Ng, whom I had seen before, but he was in the East Bay now. I looked through the profiles and chose Doctor Massey. Upon my arrival I was brought in by am M.A., whom I gave a 6 page summary of my case, my meds list and my doctor’s list, 15 doctors incidentally. She took vitals. It is also of note that I walk with a cane, usually have my service dog, move slowly and in constant pain, standing up is both painful and slow and I generally move slowly. Approximately 3-4 minutes after the M.A. left Doctor Massey entered with the M.A.. He… began hostilely. He asked me 3 question, which I responded with 3 words total. He then asked me, with increased hostility, what was I looking for, I got 2-3 words out. He told me that he was refusing to treat me and blocking me from the clinic. Needless to say I was STUNNED. As I do move slowly, I was gathering my thing, approximately 30 seconds later, Doctor Massey walked by the open door, my back to him. He asked me, again very hostilely, is the anything they could for me me. I replied no. He said, get it moving. I am still shell shocked and my appointment was 1.5 weeks ago. This was decidedly unprofessional, unethical failing to meet his minimum duty of care and traumatic. This is a doctor with 0.0 compassion, sensitivity and lacking any sense of a patient/doctor relationship that is cohesive, positive and founded on good communication. Doctor John Massey has, in my traumatized experienced, once again run afoul of Medical Ethics and failed miserably at his Basic Duty of Care!!

I am a Nurse Case Manager that deals with Worker's Compensation cases and have had cases with Dr. Massey for many years. Finding a good pain management specialist has always been a challenge for Case Managers as quite a few unfortunately are little more than legal drug dealers. Dr. Massey has always impressed me as being objective and patient oriented. While we have had some differences because of Worker's Compensation regulations he has always been professional. I still recommend him to clients whenever possible.

Dr Massey is a middle-of-the-road physician who works in the most uncaring office I have ever experienced. Not once, in countless attempts, have I been able to talk to a live person in the office, and not once after countless requests, have I had a call back from anyone. BAD DELIVERY OF HEALTHCARE OVERALL.

This doctor has no morals and is a sexual preaditor. He sexually assaults his female patients and has been doing this for years.

I've been seeing Dr. Massey at the Los Gatos location of the Bay Area Pain and Wellness Center for a year now. The majority of visits have been with NP Makenna Krouse, with a personal visit with Dr. Massey every 2-3 months for follow up. Dr. Massey is pleasant to deal with, and he gives it to you straight. No dancing around the issue. He requsts physical therapy and other proffessionals visits as needed for you, and pushes the insurance companies for you to get authorizations. He is very busy, so most visits are with a Nurse Practitioner who follows up on your treatment. The NPs at BAPWC are excellent and caring. If something is not progressing as it should, they get you in to see Dr. Massey quicker than normal.

Dr. Massey is the best pain management doctor available. He is so kind and the most kind knowledgable doctor I have ever seen. I have seen over 75 pain specialists. He has been my phycian of all of them. Make sure you see him if at all possible. You will not find a better doctor.

I am so blessed to have Dr Massey as my pain doctor. He is a fantastic doctor.

I've been in Dr Massey's care for a year now. He is an exceptional caring doctor that really feels the needs of his patients. His office staff is amazing and always have a smile waiting for you. If you are in need of a pain management specialist you couldn't be in better hands. His alternative approach to pain management heals your mind body and sprit. You are provided with tools that are used for coping with the intense pain you feel on a daily basis. Yes, you too can still have a full and productive life!

Dr . Massey was one of the best drs ive seen in 2 yrs, , he was courtious , very attentive and had a great bed side manner , i would recommend him to anyone :)
