Dr John A Mccarthy, MD

I've treated with Dr. McCarthy for about 15 years for shoulder and elbow issues. He's super personal, mature, never assuming and really cares about me! He treated my shoulder with conservative measures, not prescribing meds at the drop of a hat, until it got to the point where surgery was definately needed. No subsequent problems after 2 1/2 years. The only negative is getting an appointment quickly if you've never seen him which I attribute to his expertise and great personality.

I saw Dr McCarthy seeking a 2nd opinion, after he was recommended by a physical therapist. I can't say enough positive things about him! Bedside manner, personality and his obvious concern for you as a patient is extremely reassuring. He talks with you, not TO you and never has the air about him that he's " better " than you since he's a doctor. I have suggested to several friends that they see him and they have all raved about how much they like him. I think he's the BEST.
