He is a wonderful physician! Dr McElveen works very hard to improve the quality of life for his patients.

I really appreciate the time and care that Dr. McElveen and his staff has given to me and my ear problems. He really cares about his patents. We need more professionals like him that listen to the patents who are going through the many problems of today world.

Waited almost 2 hours. Asked for tests that were already completed. Spent 2 minutes with patient before he started dictating his notes. His dictation took longer than the time he spent talking to the patient. Very disrespectful.

Dr. McElveen and his staff are the greatest. Extremely talented, friendly, compassionate. My son had a rare ear disease and Dr. McElveen resolved the complex problem!! Thank you

I was a little skeptic when walking into Dr. Mcelveen's office. I had already been to two ear specialists with no positive results from either. I was diagnosed 13 years ago with Meniere's Disease and the problem had gotten so bad that I was just ready to give up and live my life as a hermit. In one short visit and ear exam, Dr. Mcelveen prescribed a diuretic to help control the vertigo attacks. It took several months, but the drug progressively eliminated all signs of the vertigo. After six months my left ear opened up and has remained that way. I can't thank Dr. Mcelveen enough for prescribing the perfect treatment plan for me. I'm a happy lady right now and I owe so much of that to him. You're are a miracle worker!!

Dr mcelveen is spent time to explain my condition. The staff has been helpful and the wait time was not long at all.

I saw Dr mcelveen for an acoustic neuroma a few months ago . I found the staff to be very caring and helpful. The Dr was great . He answered all my questions and I was releaved to be put on the watch and wait management for now . I know this Dr. Is very busy and dedicated to his patients if I have to wait a little while it is so worth it.love , love, love, this Dr.

The office mixed up the time on the first appt. Somewhat acknowledging. That was minor. You see the Nurse Practitioner first. She was thorough and nice and explained things well. She did get called away in the middle of the appt. but did comeback. The pregnant lady who did the testing was the nicest of the staff. Calling in just to ask a question took 3 attempts and one month of time. No one ever acknowledged the inconvenience. Overall I'd say I didn't get the impression we were working together. Not friendly but not unfriendly either. Wait times = high. When I did finally see Dr. M. he didn't show any interest in getting to know me but he probably knows his stuff. Not a good enough experience to stay with this doctor or the Raleigh office.

Hey is one of the finest ear Dr.s anywhere, he has operated on both of my ears when I was 19 & 20 yrs old. So I've known his a long while. He's very knowledgeable and he was able to immediately identify that I had a degenerative ear/hearing disease called otosclerosis. I have done checkups with him over the years with hearing tests monitoring the loss of the hearing, I've experienced, over time. He is very nice, professional and will answer all your questions. he is still in high demand, so make appts. as early as you can!

I had two visits with Dr. McElveen and also had some tests done at another visit. He totally misdiagnosed me, trivialized my symptoms, and told me to just get a cane because I will never get my balance back. I went to another specialist who did additional tests, was able to help me and my balance is fine. Dr. McElveen seemed uninterested in my case, was dismissive of my concerns, did not want to answer any questions and left at one point to take a phone call and didn't return. Combine that with a misdiagnosis and that is exactly what you do not want in a doctor. The comments in a earlier email about his community service has nothing to do with his ability to correctly diagnose and care for his patients.
